Logis Le Relais Saint Jacques

Staff were excellent, facilities and building in need of improvement

Towels like cardboard, no water in room and kettle did not have a plug socket nearby and had to be placed on the floor to reach a socket and that is quite dangerous.

Staff helpful. Restaurant menu was excellent

No milk with tea and coffee in the room.No mini fridge

Center location. Quiet. Very friendly service. Very good dinner anf breakfast.

Lack of amenities, such as gift shop or small mini-mart. English-speaking staff not always on site so difficult to communicate needs.

Nice location close to village/town center. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. There was a playground almost directly in front of the hotel where our 3-year old was enjoying himself.

The breakfast time was tight. It was from 08.00 to 09.30 hrs. But then again, it was fantastic :) .

The decor and facilities in the room and dining room were exceptional.The meal was excellent

Unfortunately only complaint was we could hear the television in the room next to us and in the night the occupant snored loudly.

The Logis was as described on Booking.com. We used a secure garage to store our motorbikes, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast typically ‘continental’ & plentiful.

This Logis was booked as our final night in France after a two week touring holiday - all we wanted was a lovely town, French hospitality and French cuisine. A week before arriving we were contacted by the Logis management and informed that their restaurant would be closed on the Sunday evening of our stay and did we want to continue with our booking. It was confirmed that there were two other local restaurants, so we decided to continue (We presumed that we were the only guests and they didn’t want to open just for us). In the end the only open restaurant, a pizzeria, was a 3 km round-trip walk! On our return, to our surprise, the Logis restaurant was open and full! Two staff approached us and explained that this was a private function for local prize winning bakers. Lucky them!We understand that this is a Logis/restaurant business and a large private restaurant function for 25-30 guests is lucrative and makes for good business - and obviously this was a priority over Logis guests. We were politely informed a week before arriving, but were not given all the necessary information to make the best decision - had we known about the function we would have rebooked elsewhere. We were made to feel like an inconvenience - not guests. Whether we spend €50 or €500 per night on a booking, we always expect a consistent standard of service from a Booking.com provider - this was not our experience.As for French hospitality and French cuisine, well, the pizzas were excellent but the whole experience at Logis Le Relais Saint Jacques left a ‘bad taste’!

slowly through france and this is a sleepy town great saturday market and the restaurant was very good a steak that i wonder at. perfect for the casual traveller who wants to slowly wander through France.

The breakfast was very nice - and a great surprise and luxury in Covidworld !?! All the staff I met were very nice and helpful.

Nothing needs to be better. Though for their sake it is worth mentioning that there was a dripping noise, not in my room, but it must have been very close, just behind the boarding in the loo ?
