Hotel Karuizawa Elegance

Close walk to the old street for shopping. Staff allows early check in.

A bit of a walk from the station. 15 mins carrying luggage in the snow is not the easiest. Facilities is dated.

Good breakfast but close early

Was charged for another 7500 yen outside booking even though booking already includes taxes & other fees.

We stayed for a night on our way to Toyama. Staff was awesome, buffet breakfast was good. Good location.

Rooms could be brighter.

the breakfast was amazing, love the size of the room and love the beautiful surroundings area

Staff are nice. Location is good. Room is big.

The refrigerator is quite old and have a noise when you sleep.

Hotel Location is quite nice. Staff is also friendly. However, Room carpet is very old and looks dirty. Hence, in rooms feelings is not good.

Room was really nice and big! Breakfast good. Staff friendly.

Very good buffet breakfast with Japanese/Western cuisine. Staff were very attentive, even coming to tables to serve coffee, unlike self-serve at other hotels.

One of the beds had a bad, uncomfortable mattress. Luckily, we had a quadruple bed room. I was able to use another bed with no flaws.

It was clean, beautiful, and had a delicious breakfast.

Near to the old ginza street

The property is old and the facilities are run down.

Breakfast was fantastic, the staff were also all fantastic, friendly and demonstrated the otomenashi you expect at a location like this. The location is great, a short walk from the main shopping areas and restaurants of Karuizawa. Free parking, location looks great on the outside.

The building is very old, and lots of dated and rundown aspects. The rats net of wiring and outlets behind the nightstand. In the pictures I attached, the cords you see are where you are supposed to plug in your devices on your nightstand, which was both confusing and slightly concerning. The AC barely worked, the room never got below about 23.5*C the mattresses felt cheap with noticeable springs and left us with back pain. The water pressure in the shower was almost painfully high and the temperature was inconsistent, fine one moment and almost scalding hot the next if you even looked at the knobs funny.

Location, breakfast,friendly staff

Amazing staff and breakfast, bed could be a little more comfortable

Property dated but clean. Helpful staff. Free coffee tea is nice.

Early check out. 10am. Room a bit dark.

spacious, clean room. Walking distance to the eateries, shopping street.

The furnishing is a bit old fashion but is not a big deal to me.

like: good location; spacious roomdislike: no lift access; old furniture

We had a large comfortable room. There was laundry and bike rental. The breakfast was extra. and we were a bit late so missed out on some things but it had a wide selection. It's walking distance from the train station. Just a block away you are into quiet tree lined lanes. It's beside an art gallery where we had an excellent lunch.

Room was large but in need of renovation. We didnt have breakfast as the restaurant was closed during our stay. Location was great, 5 min walk to city center.

Such a lovely stay. The staff were kind and professional. Breakfast was outstanding.

The quiet environment of the hotel. There weren't many guests as it was low season. I appreciate that they serve tea and coffee in the lobby. The room is clean, and the distance between the train station and the hotel is around 13 minutes walking.
