Perfect location, very attentive staff, enjoyed the e sauna that was included, and great breakfast.
Staff were outstanding.Breakfast was very goodThe ambience in the lounge and breakfast roomLocation is central to old town
The room was too small. It was also very noisy from the people in room above, to the extent you can hear everything!! Including them in the bathroom!Extra charge of 8euros for eggs Benedict despite the breakfast being included in price. No reason for this , very disappointing.Restaurant menu was limited in choice so didn't use it
Excellent location just 2 mins walk from the main square in the old town. Also just far out enough that Ubers/taxis can arrive very close to the location. The styling of the rooms is a bit old, but the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was quite nice.
Unfortunately, we had multiple bad experiences with the staff here. We arrived in the morning and messaged the hotel that we wanted to drop off clothes for laundry, but we then found out upon arrival that they sent the laundry for the day because "no one had asked". We then asked about early check-in availability, but we were quoted a higher rate than another couple that walked in after us. Finally, upon check-out, our room was charged for a coffee drink that we did not order. The staff member was unwilling to remove the charge and forced us to pay before we checked out. We will not be staying at this hotel again.
Most everything! Outstanding check in and check out staff. Gormet restaurant in basement (not just for the hotel). Gratis Breakfast held in restaurant. Couple of blocks from main town square but far enough to be quiet. Great room and super comfortable bed. Happy with luxury aspect of this hotel.
Only thing not impressive was that the early morning desk staff wasn't great at his job like the check-in and check-out staff were. Nothing in particular. Just didn't get the same vibe from him.
AMAZING Location and the front of the hotel is the cutest house(s) on the street. The staff were nice. Lovely breakfast in the basement. Beautiful living room at reception and they had a fire when the day was cold.
The rooms vary. Ours was a 'junior suite and VERY expensive, but still felt cramped and wasn't nearly as pretty as the online photos. The A/C was really poor, the full day we were there, the housekeeper didn't come by to clean the room until after we'd gotten back from our day out (4:30pm). They never did bring us the requested decaf coffee. There is no lift for your suitcases, so you will lug those up and down the stairs.
All staffs were very friendly and very helpful. Especially Patrick helped us with lugguage at check in and check out, he went out to a restaurant in person to check availability for us ( the restaurant didn’t answer calls). Very impressed his service.
No elevator and there are a lot of staircases.
This is a beautiful hotel. The room are clean and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food at the restaurant was amazing and very flavorful.
Having the room on the first floor you can hear people walking above you which is expected with older hotels .
Fantastic location, about a block to the main square. Amazing breakfast. Most importantly the staff at the hotel across the board made the schossle hotel exceptional.
Everything was perfect. Building is wonderful inside and outside garden is gorgeous. Restaurant is one of the best we had and most important.. the staff and service was impeccable and impressive.
All was good.
Location was perfect. Right in the old town. The lobby was excellent with a nice warm fire going all day (it was cold outside). The breakfast was full of a nice variety of things and was very clean. The wait staff was amazing! The room was ok but nothing great (it certainly wasn't bad though, no way). It was very clean, the pillows were big and fluffy and the housekeeping was excellent.
Nothing could have been better. My stay was perfect!

I travel often and know exactly what to expect from a high-end hotel. Upon arrival, I reported that the room was cold. They said it would be taken care of. It wasn’t. I asked to switch rooms and was told, quite logically, that the new room would be just as uncomfortable. They brought a portable heater, which took 45 minutes to warm the space. And the best part? Their public response suggests I was the problem—not the temperature. Impressive talent for justifying the unjustifiable. Total coldness—both literal and figurative.
The hotel is wonderfully located in the old town. The old building has been lovingly restored. Excellent restaurant with a very good chef and attentive staff. Loved the open fires.
The reception staff were very polite but a little reserved and on one occasion struggled with a basic question.
We arrived on the 12 th April and on the first evening decided to eat in the hotel, my wife does not eat red meat so ordered the fish dish, but we were told that the fish was not available and with only two other veggie options she was forced to either eat red meat or go hungry!!, a little while later another couple came into the restaurant and also ordered the fish and to our surprise they were duly served, when I complained to the staff I was told that they had pre ordered, for a supposedly 5* Hotel this is not acceptable. The following evening we went out to dinner elsewhere and were very happy with our choice, on returning to the hotel I requested a night cap before going to bed and was told that the kitchen closed at 22.00 so my choice of Whiskey was not available even though I pointed out that it was 21.55 so the kitchen should still be open. Me and my colleagues travel extensively to Scandinavia and the Baltic states many times each year and I have been to Tallinn 7 times in the last 12 months, however I have posted on my company website that none of us should stay at this hotel in the future and I have also written to Small Luxury Hotels of the World telling them of my experiencesThis hotel is 3* at best please avoid there are many much better hotels in Tallin that do offer a 5*
What a very special place this hotel is, located in the heart of the Old Town, right round the corner from the medieval square. It was like stepping into the past with a log fire burning, low hanging wooden beams criss-crossing the spacious lobby. Staff were super helpful, polite and attentive to our every needs and we so persuasive in their recommendation that we eat in their restaurant, we booked (which we never do!) So glad we did - if this place doesn't get a Michelin Star soon, there;s no culinary justice in the world - exceptional food, with a nod to the traditional and the modern-European - a lot like Tallinn itself.
Our room was beautifully presented but could have done with a few more 'perks' for the perfect stay, including a rainfall enclosed shower rather than a hose-type over a bath. The coffee/tea making facilities could have also been better, in line with the overall quality of this wonderful hotel but that's me been mightily picky.
Great choice of breakfast and the restaurant is fantastic. Room was very comfortable and spacious
Walk -in showere would have be preferable than an "over the bath" shower
Beautiful boutique hotel in the old town. Lovely open fire in reception and greeted with complementary drink on arrival. The staff kindly arranged a sweet treat as it was my birthday. Lovely 2nd floor room looking onto the courtyard. The breakfast was superb.
Although they say they have parking - it is very limited. I messaged the hotel about parking and didn’t get a reply so had to phone - they said they had been too busy to reply to the message. We ended up parking in the public car park near the hotel. Beware of your sat nav as it can take you into pedestrian only areas.
The location of this hotel was superb - right in the heart of the old town and minutes from the main square. The breakfast selection was fantastic - cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese/meats etc along with a hot menu with a good selection of choices. All beautifully presented and quickly delivered. We were lucky to receive a room upgrade in arrival and had a lovely room with plenty of space. The staff were extremely welcoming, polite and helpful. We enjoyed meal in the restaurant which was wonderful. We would highly recommend this stunning and characterful hotel and return again if visiting Tallinn.
Tv choice - Netflix maybe?
