Hôtel Castell'Verde

Great location close to the beach, great view of the lagoon, despite the bumpy & narrow car ride in 10 min distance from the resort there is a very good restaurant with sea view on the lagoon called Moby Dick (for half-board bookings with the hotel)

This place is "industrially" managed based on size and therefore loses out on charm: Late check out by a few minutes is punished with €20 per hour Service is not tailored to the guests' need, rather centrally managed and certainly not as stated on the website, overall no good value for money: - Swimming pool was closed for reparation during our entire stay of 4 days (consequently the second pool being completely overcroweded and impossible to use for relaxation) - Sidewalks inside the resort were not cleaned and polluted with rubbish lying around - There is nowhere to hang wet swimming clothes or freshly washed laundry - a basic requirement of a beach hotel. Bear this in mind when travelling longer periods with a baby or small children and needing to wash dirty clothes. When asking the reception, it was advised to use the tumble driers instead. Strange solution for laundry drying as a beach resort with average temperatures of +30°C. - A minor one but still worth mentioning: No option to deposit keys at the reception during absences (it is no card like in most sites nowadays but an old-fashioned door key with a big & heavy key chain). The reason itself exemplifies the lack of trust represented by the hotel staff: There is a risk that unwanted personnel may enter the room..

Beautiful sandy beach within a walking distance, two swimming pools, great view from the room’s balkony and the breakfast terrace, decent breakfast, comfortable bed.

Outdated hairdryer, staff could have been more helpful, very limited dining options if you don’t have a car.

Breakfast was more than poor, it was miserable. Few items, and of poor quality. No reposition when items were finished. Very disappointing.

The location is wonderful

The reception staff were not very friendly as if we were annoying them. They did not give much information about where we could eat as their restaurant was closed.

Clean and quiet relaxed atmosphere

The location is amazing, it was very nice to wake up to the beautiful views from our room.This hotel is very calm and peaceful.The breakfast view was also really amazing.

It takes a while to walk to the beach

everything was great, except that the restaurant on site was closed for dinner, and since I had no car, there was nowhere to eat in the evening.

Great surroundings, very green. Room with sea view totally worth it! Swimming pool was heated and within walking distance from our room.

Pizzeria place onsite is only open in the summer month, check in was very slow (1h delay)

Except this was a bit far away from the beach and breakfast was closing too early for a vacation resort, rest was OK

where to start?! the hotel does not have a beach. the wifi doesnt work at all. they serve breakfast by 10pm and did not let me to stay on the balcony and finish my coffee saying the breakfast is finished. there is no a restaurant where you can order coffee/lunch/water throughout of the day.

quite long distance to the beach. nobody inform us in advance that dinner is served and located in another Hotel (by car) - true that visited in middle of June - season not started yet?

Beautifully located with easy access to the sea within 10-15 min walking distance and a wonderful white sand beach. Other reviews criticize the bathrooms and cleanliness - however, our bathroom and room were modern, spacious, very clean and seemed to have been renovated just recently. The balconies offer a wonderful view to the sea, breakfast was very good and all staff was super friendly. The breakfast terrace offers beautiful views!

As was also said in other reviews, the entrance gate needed to be opened with a code which was not provided before arrival. Also, since we didn’t come in high season, some restaurant options were not available. However, this was easy to work around and did not impair our stay at all since we expected it to be so.

The beds were comfy. The location is great, just a 10min walk down to beach guilia. The breakfast staff were very friendly.The pool was great, the surrounding are pretty and well kept.

The rooms are very noisy. We could hear our neighbours checking out in the morning with the luggage rolling around on the floor. No hand sanitizer at the buffet. Tea and coffee facilities in the room but no actual tea and coffee or a bottle of complimentary water. For the price and the rating this hotel falls a little short.The arm bands for those vaccinated was a little weird. If you have the pass sanitaire that should be enough. Whether you are vaccinated or whether you took an antigen test it shouldn't matter. We wouldn't have minded showing them each time they were asked for.
