Bungalows Du Maquis

They kindly upgraded us to a bungalow instead of a double room. Nice quiet location. 15/20 minute drive to Porto Vecchio. Nice pool area. All you need for your stay.

The drive to the location is not for the faint hearted, especially the last 5 minutes of pitch black(at night), winding roads, with very steep turns to the end. Not the best place to come with a sports car. Very small TV.

We had the best stay here, highly recommend this hidden gem! Staff is super friendly and gave us excellent service. They also make fantastic mojitos :-) Other than that, we had an incredible view from our room! Everything looked just like the pictures - or even better. Also very clean and modern rooms and facilities, including the pool area. Extra plus for the amazing food at the hotel’s own restaurant.

The place is located quite far from the town, but is well worth it to experience something different and enjoy the stunning mountain views.

We had an unexpected free upgrade to our own spacious, clean and efficient bungalow. Easy access to the amazingly large pool, great breakfast and amazing view of the valley and beyond. Friendly staff that speak good English is a bonus.

The road is steep and a bit away from town but otherwise all is perfect.

The staff is great, the swimming pool is as nice as described, food at the restaurant (we had a boar) is great. Nice view over Porto Vecchio valley.

We had a double room in the main building. While the room is okish, the bathroom needs a deep renewal. Be aware that the road to reach car park is almost impossible for heavy motorbikes (we have a Goldwing), and there are no options; it should be said in the description.

Bed very comfortable, room clean decent size for a couple, staff very friendly and helpful, food was home cooked, delicious and price very reasonable. Amazing view and quiet place.

Swimming pool not heated so wasn't able to get in as the water was freezing. Food menu choice very restricted.

Beautiful off-site location, staff were very friendly. There’s a possibility to order bread and viennoiserie.

Cleaning fee was not mentioned during the booking. There was a limited supply of toilet paper, everything above two rolls was not available - mostly fine but was also only mentioned after the booking. The restaurant has good food but is very expensive.

We originally booked for a standard room for 3 nights and we were upgraded into a bungalow with a full kitchen and living room open space. The bungalow is located in an amazing area just 20 minutes from Porto Vecchio and 30/40 minutes from Bonifacio. It's nice to come back at night in a place in the mountain fresher and in the nature. Absolutely the best and owner and staff very friendly

Even tho the bungalows are 15 minutes away from Portovecchio, located on a pretty steep and narrow road, I truly enjoyed nature and the surroundings, especially the maquis and its beautiful scents. The area is full of cork threes, and during the night, the stars are stunning. The views from the property are gorgeous, and thestaff is very kind and welcoming.A/C works well. The restaurant and the property facilities are also fine. The pool and the terrace are well maintained. Everything was clean.

In the pictures, the bungalows look slightly bigger and more spacious than they are in reality. The bedroom and the bathroom are pretty small. Small.bed (140) and not much space for clothes. WiFi signal was weak inside the bungalow. Staff does not speak English.

Very small room without window. Inside and outside door (double door) where only outside door can be closed (with key). Location quite complicated (remote and high).

We loved our stay and the incredible view from the hill overlooking Porto Vecchio. The staff was lovely and helpful and the rooms very clean.

Nice place, clean and comfortable. There is nice pool and beautiful view. Very nice breakfast with fresh pastry. We didn't eat dinner but there is an option - different meal each day. Overall very happy with our stay there.

Everything was perfect, the location is stunning!If you are looking for some peace this is definitely the place. The staff really makes you feel welcome. Nice selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended

Nice pool. Room okay size. Check in quick and efficient. Paid for hotel room online with booking.com but hotel insisted that I pay for my stay before my departure. Said that I had not paid. Not sure where the mix up was but I had to pay again and worry about a refund later.

Most of the drive to the hotel is on narrow mountain roads. The drive is pretty BUT just before getting to the Bungalows De Maquis the road is extremely steep. The entire complex has very steep roads with very tight turns. Easy to navigate on a motorcycle but not so much with a car.

The pool was nice and clean. The couch folding into a bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Our room flooded over night because of a storm. Our personal items including laptops were in the water when we woke up. We understand the storm was exceptional, but when kindly letting the owner know that our studio was flooded, without asking for anything, she didnt know any sign of compassion or sorriness. Poor service and disappointing place.

Good views of nature and sea; the service was kind

The place looked dirty, the floor was sandy and there were some shelfs that smelled bad, the bath had a stain and the bathroom sink was dripping even closed. Also, the floor in the kitchen was wet with a puddle and the bed was noisy, with uncomfortable cushions. In the morning, they asked us to take to reception all the used sheets, towels and kitchen clothes - when we are the customers and not the service… all in all, don’t recommend. However, it has some potential if the place is refurbished and cleaned, it might be acceptable.
