Pros +
- environment, calmness, history, life music, eay access to train and facilities, boardgames, services
- Convenient location not far from the motorway. Good spa. And overall an attractive air of fading grandeur.
- Really beautiful nostalgic setting, allowing to dream back to the old days. Young fresh employees. A nice dinner and service. Pet friendly which is a big plus. Muchos gracias.
Cons -
- the building needs renovation, and some investment would be required to increase the services within the Balneario
- Putting the customer last. We have been staying here for 8 years. The service has always been « quirky ». But this time it took the biscuit. I should have always known that a hotel that allocates the nearest parking spaces to its own staff over its clients has a strange sense of priorities. Let’s start with the front desk. On the first evening I was discussing a reservation with a staff member when the manageress appeared from behind the desk, called him away from me to answer some question that she had. Worse. He complied. He went to help her and left me standing there for several minutes like an idiot. Then we had dinner. Normally we eat in a nice restaurant in the village. So we had never experienced their restaurant before. It is a military style operation designed to serve the maximum number of people while using up the minimum of man hours. A thoroughly disagreeable (and decidedly un Catalonian) experience. Plus we had to send our main course back as it had clearly been prepared in advance and was cold to the extent of being frigid. All totally consistent with the car park message. « We put our customers last »Sadly our last stay here. Let’s hope the management can change the culture but I have my doubts.
- Booked Spa at 9 for 50 minutes...sauna was cold and suggest to install a timer or someone switches on 40 minutes before opening so that indeed the Guests that come at 9 can enjoy the advertised sauna experience which in my case was not possible.

The staff was very pleasant, the rooms were great, the beds comfortable and the pool was very relaxing. My wife used the SPA as well and we used the suite jacuzzi. A very nice touch.
Children under 6 could not go for the thermal circuit - it would be better to have this info upfront.
The staff was kind and it was nice place to stay on our road trip
The room was outdated, and most of the stuff seemed really old.
The place has a special charm, it has character but it is in need of renovation.
Most of the staff were cortious, however some of the staff at the restaurant were rude and need to be train on how to treat its customers.
The building was attractive from the outside and the ceilings were high.
The decor was dated and the walls were bare. The central heating was turned off, so it was cold. The sauna in the spa was cold.
The hotel was nice.
The expensive dog fees and the grounds were not well kept. Grass needed mowing.
The location is convenient for coming by car or train.Spa and massage staff extremely friendly.Very good massages.Decent breakfast and desserts.
The money they are charging for a stay might have gotten you good value 50 years ago. The entire place needs renovation. They could also benefit from a new management team. The place smells like mold, paint, chlorine and urine. They keep staff only rooms and terraces open for the guests to see, they are in an even poorer condition than the hotel part.Bathrooms are small and not well maintained, low quality of bathrobes and towels. We got only 2 small paper thin pillows, when we asked for extra ones, we got them hours later. They come in pillowcases open on both ends which means you'll get to sleep directly on the pillow someone else slept on the night before.Food is heavy, repetitive, with very few options if you're trying to eat healthier. My partner got sick after one of the meals and they refused to prepare some diet meal for dinner because he "didn't let them know in advance".Circuit thermal is small and gets crowded very fast.
The history
The fact that the place has been half renovated half remains in the 1980s and does not seem to choose what future it wants: being a spa or a relic from the past
My holiday at the hotel wasn't quite what I hopedfor, but the food was absolutely delicious
Sadly, my holiday at the hotel wasn’t as restful as I hoped. The noise from the nearby highway and neighbours slamming doors throughout the night made it hard to get a good sleep so it didn’t feel like a truly relaxing stay. And the bed is too bad to sleepOne side of the mattress was sunk down, and the bed had wheels that made it move—it was very uncomfortable
All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool area is very nice and a lovely setting to relax. Food was okay.
Room was spacious.
The rooms need a caring hand, the bed was not very comfortable. My husband asked for an extra pillow and first they told him that they were not sure if this could be provided, then a while later, someone came in at midnight with a pillow with no cover. The room needs renovation. There is not a lot of shade in the parking.Rooms are not well soundproofed, you can hear doors closing, steps from above and some doors need a bit of oil. Some staff were friendly but more staff or better organisation was needed, when we arrived, there was a long line and it took us almost 30 minutes to do the check in, the receptionist apologised. For the price, we would have expected to have included the spa (more than 180 Euros per night) but that wasn't the case.During breakfast pineapple didn't look great.
Beautiful hotel and grounds.
The bar staff were never around always hiding out the back. Really rude. We ordered a rustico burger. Served cold with no Brioche bun as stated, barely fried and not caramalised onions. Ordered patatas bravas as they did not have chips. They were cold too. I guess our food was sat waiting to be taken while the chef looked for the staff.
Historic building. Authentic. Reflected the region. Local specialities at breakfast. Spa,excellent value
Bad
The hotel denied the room because of the miscommunication of the allowed dog size. Though they said they canceled my booking, I still did not get my money back
This was the third time we visited this hotel. The. breakfast was good.
The outdoor pool was closed, although it was advertised as open from 1 April.
