Hotel Paço de Vitorino

Paço de Vitorino is a real gem. Large comfortable rooms, swimming pool with amazing view, pool bar and dinner in the main house. I can go on and on.. We visited as a family with young kids and it was perfect.

A bit far from Ponte de Lima especially for someone without a car has to rely on taxis

Breakfast a bit lacking in choice and v limited.

The stay made you felt like Lord of the Manor...and I met the owner during a religious event (which included tea) at the property. Though the hotel was out of the way, the ever helpful Jorge helped with all the transportation and suggested routes when I preferred to walk to Pote de Lima: 8 km. The breakfast was continental; Jorge had upgraded me to a huge room. The bed was covered with divine Portuguese linen.

The wifi connection was spotty.

I booked this as a short 'get away' with my wife for her birthday. We were made to feel very much at home and were able to enjoy a very quiet and relaxing stay.

Really Fabolous!! My wife and I had a very nice and interesting stay during three nights at Paço de Vitorino. The house is an encounter of good taste and hospitality, we really enjoyed the beautiful house and gardens, the breakfast and all services provided. Miguel and Jorge were very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. A truly excellent experience in all senses!

Paço de Vitorino is an impressive and beautiful historical house which at the same time offers all the modern comforts of a luxury hotel for those visiting it.We never tired of exploring the grounds of this house, including its peaceful gardens and fountains. At the same time, we were so well received by all the people working there who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were extremely flexible with us (who were traveling with a young baby on this trip). Everything was impeccable. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and hope to come back soon!

This hotel is gorgeous. The perfect mix between historic and modern. We stayed in an old stable converted barn and the room was amazing and spacious! Staff are so friendly and even made us a welcome hamper as we arrive late. George have us a tour of the grounds and the old wine cellar which was very cool to see back to the 1600s aspects of the property. The breakfast was also wonderful. We can’t wait to come back again soon - hopefully when the weather is better so we can enjoy the pool too! Thanks for a great stay :)

Everything. The bed was super comfortable, the place is gorgeous and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Not staying longer.

Set in a very tranquil. Staff is very accommodating. One of the owners gave me a tour of the gardens and the historic part of the small palace. Food was freshly prepared for me and was very delicious.

Hard to get service in the evening and have to call before checking in to make sure you aren't stuck outside

The place is beautiful with very friendly staff and great facilities. The pool is fantastic and a perfect place to relax with views down to the river. This is a real gem and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Everything! The staff are amazing-very attentive to ensuring a comfortable, serene, and enjoyable stay. We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights at Hotel Paco de Vitorino. The grounds are beautiful and include a large pool. The bed was 10 out of 10 for comfort. . It felt like we were on a retreat, yet close enough to drive to Ponte de Lima, Ponte de Barca, Guimaraes, Braga & explore the Minho region. It was an unforgettable experience!!! Thank you!! This is a gorgeous historic hotel/family home and grounds. Super clean, elegant, well maintained, spacious hotel and rooms. Beautiful gardens and pool. Interesting history, and attentive staff. Delicious full breakfast served in the dining room.

Tranquil setting with lovely garden and beautiful Portuguese architecture. We were able to completely rest and enjoy the peaceful nature. We probably got the best sleep ever while staying at the hotel. We will always remember the view from the pool overlooking the cow pasture and the mountains. The staff is very attentive and caring - it felt like staying at a good friend's or family's home. The hotel has a small family church, a horse carriage, and a game room which were interesting to visit. We were treated with fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast that was sourced from a tree right on the property.

Lovely pastoral setting, immaculate and extremely comfortable rooms, wonderful staff.

Breakfast are traditional continental style - Portuguese ham is superb. The location is a little isolated so one is dependent on having a car to travel to local amenities. We were unable to make full use of the swimming pool due to the cold weather.
