    Pros +

    • Nice stop over whilst walking the camino.Very comfortable and nice amenities and courteous host.Lots of lovely croissants and bread and cake at breakfast.
    • Gorgeous period property that is high on the montebreamo hill. A huge lounge area with purified water and tea and coffee. The location is great for leaving on the next stage of the Camino but a hard trek uphill when you're arriving from the previous stage! Breakfast was spectacular.
    • Everything! The building, our room , facilities, location, staff and breakfast all unbelievably good!

    Cons -

    • Lots of food served at breakfast which may be a bit wasteful so would recommend to the owner to ask what guests would like to eat.
    • Nothing at all. (only thing missing was a sea view!l
    • The hill climb out of town to the hotel.

This place is a real gem on the Camino de ingles route! The owner is SO NICE and welcoming. The hotel is in an old stone house that has been meticulously redone and is incredibly stylish with some modern flourishes. Exceptional!

We stayed here one night during our Camino the Santiago and what a haven. Mary, (not the owner, she was also very nice and responsive Over the phone) but Mary who worked the desk that day was amazing. She went out of her way to help, take care, and serve us. Thank you Mary you are a “Camino” angel and we really appreciated your kindness, warmth, and helpfulness. Breakfast was amazing, great views from our balcony and impecable cleanliness in room and bath room. Property was located in a great spot in the camino at the too of hill from the town. Great property and wonderful staff would.

    Clean and friendly.

The hill climb out of town to the hotel.

I loved pretty much EVERYTHING! The staff was kind and genuine. My room was sparkling clean and very comfy. The common areas were designed with love and care. The breakfast was amazing and I really appreciated the freshly baked DELICIOUS croissant! It felt like a home away from home. A very welcome atmosphere!

Would find it almost impossible to find anything wrong with this place! The only very small thing would be the walls are a little thin between the rooms so it wasn't always very quiet...but otherwise fantastic!

It was a great stay on the El Camino Ingles, a house situated on a hill with a lovely view on Pontedeume, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, clean and the shower quite spacious. Last, but not least: great bed.

The humidity level, which is not the problem of the hotel….but it’s a regional thing probably. With the windows closed you could feel it quite strongly.

very comfortable, stylish, good breakfast, lovely staff

not many eating opportunities nearby but the owner offered to run us back down into town and return us

Absolutely perfect stop if you are doing the Camino as you get to the far side of the town and get the climb done & it's on the Way. The accommodation is fabulous and the host Mari really goes a long way to make sure everything is perfect. She's very friendly & helpful and really makes you feel at home, giving you the freedom of the place to treat it like home. Really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing lady who took care of us at the property - massive thank you! I spoke barely any spanish, she spoke no english, and yet we were able to communicate with no issues. Excecptional breakfast too, which is crucial when doing the Camino Ingles.

Cozy hotel with an amazing breakfast!

The location was up a tough hill to climb and out of the main part of town.

    8MarkPosted on: 11-11-2021

    Clean, modern. Nice bar/rest6

Horrible location to the town center.

    9AndyPosted on: 9-23-2021

Beautiful, simple renovation. Comfortable bed and great breakfast

Be warned and make sure you eat before climbing to the hotel. Not a trip you want to repeat down and back after a day’s hiking ! And take along some wine and provisions to nibble in the hotel in the evening !

    9CarolinePosted on: 8-14-2021

Clean and on the Camino. Staff was very accommodating.

It was up the hill from all the restaurants

    10AndrewPosted on: 8-9-2021

It was super clean, beautiful, fascinating architecture, beautiful restoration of an old building with modern amenities. The receptionist was amazingly helpful and hospitable.

    Disappointing

Told we could eat breakfast anytime between 7 and 11. Then when we showed up we had to wait 30 minutes. Terrible location with noisy road and poor parking. Breakfast service was poor. Lady talked on the phone for most of the time and made it slower in addition to the 30 min delay. No love or passionate in the decor, looks like stuff bought from whatever the Spanish equivalent of Walmart is.

    10Judy-spanishPosted on: 5-21-2021

The hotel is perfectly situated on the Camino Inglés ‘The English Way’ It’s a bit of a hike up from the center of town where all the cafés are located but well worth the climb for a good nights sleep. The property is beautifully appointed and very clean.
