Valais Hotel

The hotel was absolutely perfect. Close enough to walk the town and the beach in its backyard. The employees and management were very friendly and went above and beyond. The boat tour of the island which was booked by reception was amazing. I will be back

Shuttle service to and from airport, bus station & boat dock would be nice.

The hotel is situated on the alykanas beach with good facilities. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent, from the reception team, the bar team and the management who were all very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing not to like about Valais.

The location was great. Staff were very friendly.

My shower head was broken leaving the bathroom very wet. It was difficult to adjust the a/c to a comfortable temperature.

Location was great, being right on the beach. Restaurant was superb with amazing food and staff. Room was clean, the bed was comfortable.

Small, friendly, wonderful location. The food and drink offer is very good and the service excellent. The swimming pool is great - a proper swimming pool that you can actually swim in rather than an ornamental pond!

There is a music venue just down the road that blasts out very loud music until about midnight 4 days per week. Fine if you want to go and see their show but disturbing if you want to enjoy a quiet evening in the hotel or sleep before midnight.

The location of the hotel is outstanding, as well as the facilities. However, what made out stay an unforgettable one was the staff and the management team, they were always ready to help in any posible way, they made you feel like family. Personally I would like to thank katerina george julie wayne , zorranna ,eleni and Valeria. Apologies if ai miss someone, the entire team is terrific

Had a great stay , started with a nice warm welcome and shown to our room. Our room was spotless on arrival and kept spotless throughout our stay with cleaning every day , fresh towels and sheets every other day. ALL staff were happy , friendly and pleased too help in anyway with a smile . Great system in place to order food and drink around the pool on the beach and in the restaurant . Was our first visit to a Greek island and loved it ! The hotel had a really nice chilled relaxed feeling to it , we will be back as soon as possible and thank you for a great stay.

The property was comfortable but dated.

There was a strong smell from the bathroom toilet on a regular basis when you entered the room.

We stayed at the hotel for 8 days. The location of the hotel right by the sea is good enough + the area is green and the smell of conifers is wonderful. Clean pool which is included in the price. Large + there is a great team both in the hotel and in the restaurant. Room service and administration is excellent. In general, we liked the hotel and felt at home.

But I want to address the managersFirst of all, it is a stale air conditioner that has an unpleasant odor when it works, it is installed in a bad place immediately opposite the bed, which creates inconvenience in its use. And when you turn on it down, it then switches back to you automatically.The bathroom is too small, outdated, and with very little pressure in the shower. It could use a little reconstructionThe restaurant is located on site and has excellent access directly to the beach. We visited many places in this town, unfortunately this restaurant has the worst food and the highest prices. Having such a great place and such a great team here, you can make such an unsurpassed place that the line will be standing there. And we even ordered an egg for breakfast and it was overcooked. The chicken giros was not very tasty either. Although we had a 10% discount there, of us ate in other places where it was much tastier.You have a lot of regular customers, and if you improve the conditions for them, they will be very grateful. And change the kitchen. You have a very nice place. I work in this field, so I know what a great place you can make there.

Food and drinks in the bar/restaurant were expensive and not as nice as nearby eateries (we ate once for breakfast then decided to eat out for remaining days) Fridge in the room is very small, fit only 2/3 bottles of waterPool is deep and has an extended side which makes it difficult for young children to climb out or jump inDespite being hotel guests we still had to pay for Valais sun loungers on the beach

The property is right next to a beautiful beach. The position is excellent because from there you can easily reach every point of the island (we were by scooter). But the thing we appreciated the most was the staff, they were really friendly and available, always smiling. They were able to meet every request.

Nice and clean family hotel, everything you need is on site - private beach (discount for hotel guests), water sports, pool, restaurant (discount for hotel guests), beautiful garden. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Decoration is a bit outdated, could do with some refurbishment.

The personal touch. The owners were very welcoming. Julie the manager looked after us and was an asset to the hotel

The place is very clean with nice comfortable beds and with great and very helpful staff. The beach is right next to the hotel and its sandy and shallow perfect for little swimmers. There is a restaurant on site that serves good food and has a kids menu as well. There are restaurants close by and supermarkets to buy what you need, all in a short walk. If you want to go around the island, a car is a must cause the buses aren't often.

Not the fault of the hotel, but there is not water to the island and the water we used was all from the sea after most of the salt was removed. There was also a bad smell around, wich again wasn't the fault of the hotel and that you can smell it around to many places .

Mr.and Mrs. Valais were very kind and welcoming. Valerie was also very attentive and made sure that l enjoyed my stay. Julie at the pool was very attentive and came to my rescue when l was feeling dehydrated and almost passed out due to the very high temperatures. Thanks to her, l quickly recovered myself just in time to drive to the airport to return back home.John, in charge of the security at night, was also nice and assisted me with opening the door after midnight as l had mobility issues walk with my cane. I am very grateful to all the staff for making my stay so wonderful and memorable. I will recommend Valais Hotel to all my friends and family. God willing,I am looking forward to coming back for Easter next year.

We thought we got really lucky with the location and the accommodation, but when we got there and stayed we realised just How lucky we truly were with our choice!Because besides brilliant spot and cosy, relaxing, modern, sharp, tidy, interesting, complex surroundings, the People working there wrapped it all up to be the best holiday.Managers, family business, people who works for over a decade, staff who are diligent and open hearted, gives their best for you to have the rest you came for. They look after the staff working with them and That is felt by the people who came for holiday. They are All very welcoming, diligent, honest and kind, simple yet reliable and professional, with raw humane friendliness and connection.We would like to deeply Thank Julie and Bruce, Katerina and John, Valeri and Zorana! Andreas and the girls.Unlike other hotels, like Letsos (we also had experience with them), Valais aren't there to take as much money from you at every step as possible, no hidden/extra fees, no surprises and schemes.They do their best at treating you the way they would like to be treated, and That was felt to the very core of the heart.
