    Pros +

    • I liked the location, to be near to the beach and just enough from the center. breakfast was nice. It seemed full when I had breakfast and it was quiet all along the stay.
    • Location, comfort and friendliness of hosts
    • The recently installed lift is a great addition to this olde-worlde hotel. Room itself was light, airy & spacious, & the firm mattress one of the most comfortable I've slept on in a hotel. The breakfast was fully self-service with an impressive range of options, all very fresh. Only a couple of minutes' walk from Het Boegbeeld cafe/tavern where we had flammkuchen, mead & local beer on two nights.

    Cons -

    • there was a big lamp glued to the working table, difficult to put a laptop computer on it to work. not enough power outlets for phone and computer.
    • Toilet is small, so awkward to use with the door fully closed - not a problem for us, but might be for less relaxed guests. It would have been helpful to know more about the parking arrangements in advance to save us a long walk initially: I recommend asking the hotel about this before you travel, as it's actually very practical & convenient.
    • Access slightly awkward as I have Mobility issues but staff helped.

Charming place. Great location close to beach and village. Delightful terrace

It’s right next to the beach. The breakfast was really nice for good value of money. There are many restaurants, bars and shops in waking distance.

The bathroom was quite small and ventilation needs an upgrade

Hotel had lovely character, so friendly and helpful nothing to much plenty of tourist information, just made our stay perfect ?

I loved the look and feel of the hotel and how close it is to the beach. Also love that they're dog friendly

I didn't like my room. It was very clean but it was so dark I couldn't really work in it. I had asked for a quiet room I could write in and they gave me this one but when I asked for something with more light I was told to turn the lights on.

The location is great. The beach is right around the corner. Peaceful road with ample parking for the guests and great views over the village.

Cosy, nicely located close to the beach and the old part of town. Good parking facilities right next to the hotel. Super friendly owner!

The location was great Wijk Aan Zee is a lovely little village by the sea. The property had the Same vide and the areas. The breakfast was great and good value for money too.

The two single beds together kept slipping maybe a clip to keep them together would be needed but other than that it was good.

This privately owned hotel is small and charming. The owners are very kind and mindful. It's nicely located directly behind the dunes. Therefore well protected against the wind but close to the fantastic wide and long beach. Parking places directly beside the hotel is provided. Our room was small but big enough and beautifully decorated. We rarely experienced better beds in any hotel. The room is good for couples. The bathroom is modern and comfortable. Since it is open to the room it might be annoying for some people.Nice sitting options in the small lobby and outdoors.Great choice if you don't like anonymous hotel chains.

The toilet could have been a bit bigger.

The hotel is a lovely old building with lots of caricature.Very close to the restaurants and beach.Breakfast was plentiful and constantly replenished.

Only minor issue was that the lift was broken.

The hotel is very nice and warm. The owner was super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast which was good value for money. The beds were really comfortable.

Lovely hotel, full of character and charm. The location was ideal, very near the beach. The breakfast was excellent - fresh, tasty and good value -for-money. The people are very friendly and chatty.

good location. good breakfast. Friendly owner

it was unusually very hot so no air conditioning or fans. but this was exceptional heat.

    9EllenPosted on: 7-19-2022

The room was very comfortable, a large bed and window's that could be opened and a small closet to put our stuff into. It even had a tv, which we had overlooked and we were happily surprised by. The hotel was close to the sea, which made for lovely trips to the beach in the afternoon.

The double bed was made out of two separate beds, often during our stay the two beds would drift apart. It was somewhat uncomfortable having to mind the gap.

Beautiful location. 100m from the beach. Quiet. Charming room.

Breakfast could've been a bit better.
