Hotel-Garni Schernthaner

Excellent location, friendly & accommodating staff/owner, clean & comfortable room. A warm touch from the owner- a birthday candle & a cute bottle of Schnaps for my special day.

Very good location, we stayed in a room with a comfortable bed, with a view of houses and mountains. The reception service was very helpful, they provided us with a fan when requested and gave us a free bus pass.

Maybe expand the breakfast options a little more

The hotel is beautifully designed with great taste and attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are very helpful, and the breakfast is excellent.

The hotel was hard to find but once we did the staff was wonderful. The breakfast was very good and the room was a decent size. The hotel was located right downtown and very close to the chair lift up the mountain,

Markus and his family were welcoming and so helpful throughout the stay. The location was an excellent base for exploring St. Gilgen and the surrounding area, centrally located to transportation and town. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The room was lovely with plenty of room. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was super friendly. And the maid staff hung up my husband and daughter's clothes that were wet from their morning run which was very thoughtful.

The room was a little warm due to the outside air temperature, but we just opened a window and were fine. The only thing strange was that the shower head was in the middle of the tub wall instead of on the end which made it a little weird to navigate. In the end, it was perfectly fine though! Some magnets to keep the shower curtain attached to the tub would be great if they could add that!

- Water drainage in shower booth could be better- Sound proofing, could hear upstairs walking and moving things around from 6am

Nothing!

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. It is centrally located with lots of restaurants near by, free parking and an elevator for the luggage. Our room had a good view. The breakfast was plentiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall felt like home at this pretty chalet in St. Gilgen.

Maybe add some croissants to the breakfast.

Absolutely lovey place to stay in this beautiful location at Wolfgangsee. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was great and my bike was safely stored. Would come back any time

Very dedicated staff, spacious balcony, tasty breakfast, good location with a parking lot... A nice detail: quality umbrellas were hung at the exit of the hotel - since it rained one day, we were happy to borrow one.

Not a big issue but I would prefer a firmer mattress.

Everything was wonderful. The owners are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was top notch - Markus even made me scrambled eggs one of the mornings! I really loved my stay here.
