Pros +
- Stylish hotel in the center.
- Our famiy loved our stay at Grand Hotel Praha. The reception staff were really helpful and the rooms were super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. And we especially enjoyed being able to book the sauna and pool for our private use. The meal we had at the restaurant was really good and we loved our friendly and fun Italian waitress. We definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.
- We were upgraded to suite, location was excellent. Room was clean and warm.Breakfast great.
Cons -
- Mediocre food. Bored young lady at the counter wasn’t very helpful when asked for free parking space. Biggest minus: hotel falsely claims „parking availability”.
- Lighting was a bit dark in the room....atmospheric!
- Unfortunately, the staff at the breakfast could behave a bit better. Keeping up with needs of guests.. On the other hand, the receptionist was super nice and super helpful, so let's hope this is the way the hotel keeps / promotes :) Maybe there is no need for the TV in the room. It is not keeping the spirit of the original hotel from 1913.

Wonderfull gem in the middle of Jicin. We were surrprised what we found for such a decent money. The interior & exterior were renovated after a sad history of communist era. We cannot say it's modern of fresh but it is so real and authentic and made us super happy. (unlike other hotels around, where the interiors are newly renovated, but in the style you don't want to stay in). We would recommend this hotel to all, and also recommend the owner to keep it this "classical" way.

The room was big and spacious.the beds were comfortable.the shower was great and big with good flow.the staff were great and helped with anything we needed.the location is amazing! City center but not really inside
The elevator was broken (which must have already been repaired)The room was not really clean in advance down to the smallest details
The hotel is very near to hystoric city center, you feel like you travel to the past and stay in specialy decorated apartment - former president suitVery polite and helpfull staff at the reception and the restaurant
The beds were noisy ,no air conditioner
Nice atmosphere and environment. The building alone is worth a stay. Very good breakfast.
Don't expect a typical Czech menu. The food is really good, but rather Italian. Lots of pasta, lasagne...
The room was big
Old outdated furniture and very very uncomfortable beds. Breakfast was horrible
location, appearance. not much else
Staff were grumpy, snooty, uncommunicative, and clueless. Sometimes quite unhelpful
Large family room, close to the city centre, (limited) parking next to hotel
Hotel feels a bit outdated
Beautifully renovated building and rooms!
Staff was a bit short with us and the breakfast could have been better.
The location
The hotel did not accepted the Booking.com Price. It used an abnormal own currency rate. We had to pay 10% more,. Instead of booking Price 283 Eur, had to pay 313 Eur.
The hotel is located in a beautiful building in the city centre. It's about 10 minutes walking distance from the railway station, and literally one minute walk from the main square.I would really recommend this hotel for people visiting Jicin.
nice, old-fashion-style hotel with large and well equipped rooms; great location very close to a city center
Positioned in the center, it made it easy to walk to restaurants, the room was big
Breakfast was supposed to start at 7, but that was when they started to put out the breakfast, so having to leave at 7:15 there was a very poor choice (no cereal bowls, missing bread, etc). Standard breakfast time for the area is 6:30.The cleanliness of the room was appalling: dust on all the furniture, the white fluff on the carpet that felt it hadn't been washed in years, as well as the fact that it was never cleaned during my stay (they made the bed up 3 days out of 4, but didn't touch the bathroom and didn't dust)
The hotel has a wonderful spa complex and just a great restaurant.so delicious in the Czech Republic I have not eaten yet
Location and old, traditional style. Very quiet.
The rustic design of the hotel was fun and exciting. Breakfast was simple and good. The croissants were very yummy.
Not having a hot water boiler in the room was not a terrible inconvenience but as many hotels have these, I kind of expected it, particularly given there was a mini bar in the fridge and drinking glasses on the dresser.
Great location. The room was absolutely beautiful. We loved the balcony looking over Jicin’s Main Street. We enjoyed using the spa. It’s nice that it’s exclusive. although you have to pay extra. The smoking area in the courtyard was very nice.
Some of the staff were a little off hand. The breakfast was quite basic. We often had to wait for item’s to be replaced including crockery. Got the feeling you were being an inconvenience by asking for things at times.
The staff at the reception was very welcoming. We asked for tips regarding restaurants and received a broad range of possibilities. A safe place was provided for our bikes. The breakfast was delicious.
