Pros +
- The setting for the resort was picturesque and the facility was huge. Staff was friendly and helpful and was fast to assist with all requests. The restaurant was located at the front of the facility providing nice views of the mountains and vineyard.
- Location is good as long as you plans are to visit some of the winery in the area.
- Good breakfast, nice staff and an attractive pool area.
Cons -
- The only issue was that for a former Michelin Star restaurant, the main course (lamb skewer) was horribly overcooked and should not have been served to us at all in its condition. The rest of the food was quite good. A disappointing main course.
- the hotel in general is outdated, rooms looks and feel old.
- The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. It was full of lumps and very strange which resulted in very sleep on both nights that we stayed. Inconsistent service. Our companions received complimentary wine in their room and were given bottled water. We received neither. Don´t know how it got 5 stars but it most certainly does not deserve them.

Good location by the wineries
No amenities in the room, no coffee machine or to make tee. When asked the hotel, the option was to call room service and pay for it. Also, room service only available when restaurant is open (in the morning from 8:30). The hotel has Spa, but they limit the stay to 1 hour (even the hotel and spa were empty). To access the spa they charge you extra, and after you need to pay for slippers or swimming cap if you don't bring it from home.Definitely, this is more a three stars hotel than a five one.
They allowed us an earlier breakfast. The staff were very friendly.
Music played late outside, which disturbed our sleep. Although it allowed me to book my children in, it is clearly meant for adults.
Great location at the vineyard
We were very disappointed. There is building work directly outside our bedroom which starts at 8:00am. The Gymnasium is not open. The spa costs €100 per hour for the two of us. The walls are as thin as paper. The outside garden areas have workmen erecting pergolas. No one contacted us before we arrived to warn us or offer us alternatives. I raised this with the hotel and in the afternoon of our 2 day stay, they offered a different room for second night. - but we were leaving at 8:00am (before the builders start!!).
views of vineyards
limited number of dishes for breakfast plus an ugly room where it happens. The reception is not very friendly, they ask you to fill out all forms yourself. I don’t remember when in a five-star hotel staff asked me to fill out any form myself. The soundproofing of the rooms is zero. It's like people are living in your room. You hear them discussing their family problems, going to the shower and toilet. The mattresses used are very cheap, when a person turns over in the second half, the mattress shakes heavily. In general, the rooms are poorly decorated, there is nothing on the walls except a TV. It’s 26 inches! TV is so tiny that it is uncomfortable to watch it from the bed. The hotel (its new part) resembles a typical downtown hotel, not a winery.
Excellent hotel in a great location with friendly staff.Fantastic wine tasting, excellent winesGreat traditional Spanish restaurant
Airconditioner did not work
We are overall very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Arzuaga. The hotel's serene location amidst the picturesque vineyards and stunning natural beauty made for a truly relaxing retreat. The comfortable and well-appointed rooms provided a cozy haven after days spent exploring the charming countryside. We left with fond memories and a desire to return to this wonderful destination.
I was expecting the pool at least to be included with the fee. The morning was a bit noisy, there were kids playing on the hall and we hear them as if they were inside our room.
Location and restaurant. Rooms were also nice and comfortable. They managed to provide 2 separate beds as requested.
Spa was not included, which is quite ridiculous for a 5 star hotel. Also breakfast service was really bad, or not existing I should say. Glasses and cutlery were not provided until we requested, a table was not available where we arrived, coffee was self served Nespresso, while in a 5 star you would expect proper bar service.
Overall the hotel is great however it is appalling that you pay high fees for the night and they expect you to pay for access to the pool by half hours. Also breakfast is not even deserving a 1 star.
The breakfast. Terrible choice, cold cuts not kept under cold or covered so flies around them and dried up. We could not select anything. There was also an area where it seem one could cook with no cook, so we wonder if we had to go there to cook ourselves an egg. The atmosphere of the room very unwelcoming. Pity as the view from that room is fantastic but tables and chairs seem more apt for a camping site. The breakfast was overall a terrible experience. Nobody to really attend to you either. At the end when we saw one person we were able to ask why there was a frying pan on a cooker put over a table, like in a camping site, and whether there was a cook or we should cook ourselves the eggs. Not at all in line with this hotel prestige but more worth of a camping site, not even a motel.
Not much. It was very disappointing.
The AC was not working. We changed room twice. The bed was very uncomfortable. Complementary wine in the room is appreciated but they're not providing complimentary water bottles. Most of the staff was rude. The tour visit was pathetic. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
Modern and comfortable room and great spa with quite options. Nice welcome red wine bottle (37,5cl) and wine cellar guided visit. Very kind staff.
The TV is modern but small. Only Spanish TDT channels. In a 5-star hotel, I expected any OTT/cable content option and/or international channels.
comfortable beds, amazing restaurant, new facilities
the spa is overpriced and not included in the roomrates
The Tour of the Estate displaying the production of wine, deers and wild boars.
Dirty pools and windows in the spa. They called the spa a wine spa, but could only offer traditional treatments. No traces of wine treatments at all.
Breakfast is decent and has all that is normally expected.
The bar and restaurant are quite far form the Hotel Reception. They could set in the garden area a cafeteria and then you could enjoy even better the surroundings.
