Hotel Rey Arturo Burgos

Very nice, very clean hotel located right off the highway. Plenty of parking. Perfect stop for the night when on the way to elsewhere. Room was spacious and clean. The restaurant had a two differently priced menus to chose from for dinner, each with several choices of starter, main, and dessert. Breakfast buffet was a little haphazard, but had everything you would want in the morning (good deal at only €5 per person). Although located close to the highway, there was no noise from the road at all.

It was pretty cold in the dining room for dinner, and I also had to send a plate back because the meal was cold. Most of the guests seemed to be people on organized bus tours, but they had their own set menus for the meals and were not competing for the breakfast buffet.

The hotel upgrade is a huge improvement, we like the area because it's on our route, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is very good. If you want to go into Burgos it's very quick on the back road which is handy. I recommend going to see the Bonsai collection in the village... Amazing!

There is very little noise insulation between the rooms.The beds have no locks on the castors so they move very easily?? No mirror in the room only in the bathroom

Room was basic but clean & adequate for our needs.Restaurant was great for an evening meal.

Secure parking was very difficult to access / exit, extremely tight entrance door.Breakfast wasn't great.

The room had a very strong odor of airfresheners. Very rundown. The food in the restaurant was disgusting! The bar food and drinks were fine.

Building is good and clean

I booked with booking .com to include the evening meal.then whe n you get the menu and select they say that will be an extra 12 euro for 2.and bring out another small menu they say is included..not fair trading booking .com should investigate and the hotel needs to stop it's shady practice

Restaurant very good and the friendly staff, particularly Vanessa on reception who was very helpful with a problem we had. Comfortable bed.

Location. Not much in the immediate area.

Front of house staff,Vanessa was great and really helpful-nice :) the bar was great and the restaurant was fine for the fare on offer.The hotel is adjacent to the A62 so very good for all point navigation to anywhere you might be headed-Santander ferry etc...Shell garage behind the hotel also had a handy store for the basic provisos and as a whole was very good even though renovation was ongoing at the time.

Perhaps some more choices for breakfast would be good?

Very poor light in bathroom. Shower has mould or rust round bottom of shower. The staff are excellent, and always so helpful. However, although requested, the heating wasn't put on until the evening and we were cold! Once the heating was on it was fine.

Perfect location. Very clean and great breakfast.

No electrical sockets near the beds

Good location close to the motorway. Acceptable as a budget hotel for a one night stay.

Basic room and no control over the heating (had to get reception staff to turn on the heating in the hotel .We were travelling in winter ) Very poor breakfast and poor hygiene standards with platters of meats, cheeses, bread and cakes on table but no tongs to lift the items with so lifting a slice of meat and then bread by hand is not a good idea! Dinner menu choice basic

Location. 2 hours from Santander.Straight off motorway .

The location of the hotel was very good for our purposes. The restaurant was good value and the food nice.

Great location to motorway to and from Santander going to and from Madrid

The staff were very helpful, the room was good, the food in the bar was excellent.

We wre told we could access a lift from the garage parking and this is true, but, if you arein a wheelchair it is unusable as it accessed by stairs. The towels for the shower were on the other side of the bathroom, quite a way from the shower.

The room was clean, warm and comfortable.

The breakfast was not what we expected from one 3 star hotel.

Spacious. Good car parking. Staff were fabulous, apart from the Chef who cannot cook.

Room was so hot, could not adjust radiator. No tea or coffee in room.Food was awful, the worst paellla I have ever had. Steak was disgusting. Chef is clearly an amateur. Breakfast was minimal.

Food in the restaurant was over priced and sparce. Up graded to Special menu for €22 instead of €16. But disappointed with main course and dessert. I had grilled salmon which came with a handful of green leaves. No potatoes or chips or veg?
