Hotel Encinar de Sotogrande

The room i booked was spacious and overlooking the pool. Breakfast was great and the staff were all very friendly. The front desk were very helpful in directing us to locations and restaurants in the area. The Sunday Paella was a great experience in dining at the hotel. This property has a lot going for it, close to the marina and its various cafes and restaurants and a 25 minutes drive to Estepona. We kept extending our stay because there were a lot of places to explore in the area.

I found the pillows not comfortable and we had an issue with the air conditioner that kept turning off on its own at night. The matter was resolved by the staff. I have not found anything I did not like.

This property has a lot going for it. Very good location, my room size was good. Food in the restaurant was good and breakfast had a wide selection. Beds are comfortable

The pillows are not comfortable at all and the air conditioner turns off at night on its own making the quality of sleep poor. I complained to the staff but it was not resolved.

Great location and very reasonably priced. Food food and the place was clean and comfortable.

We stayed for only a short while as we arrived late and left after breakfast, however we were very pleased with the hotel, the generous room and very comfy beds.

Whilst the pillows were really lovely, the duvet and cover felt a bit cheap. That said, it really was not a problem and they were adequate.

Good location for the local golf courses! This hotel is nicely decorated throughout with large modern and comfortable rooms. Rooms and balcony’s are nicely private. Everywhere was clean and impeccably presented. Good breakfast!

Couple of small details like they didn’t top up my coffee pods or water daily. Drain cover was left off and open on my balcony. Gym was below average. As I say just small things no major complaints.

The door to the toilet was missing. The stairs in the room were difficult to navigate particularly in the night if you are old and unsteady.

This hotel is great in location, its services and staff. Breakfast too was excellent too.

It’s winter of course but the balcony was completely bare other than a small table and a couple of chairs. Not really attractive to use but I believe the outlook better in different parts of the hotel grounds.

Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious, quiet and bed was enormous and comfy.

Quality was excellent. Staff were quick to clean tables after use which meant that he restaurant always looked inviting.

Access steps were rather steep and no lift was available.

Room was modern, spacious.and well equipped.Lots of parking.Good price in restaurant & breakfast was a good offering.The mattress was great, and the pillows and air con made for a good sound sleep

The toilet paper is extremely flimsy - please improve this!It wasn’t too bad at all for us but maybe some sound proofing on doors so you don’t hear when people walk past?

The man at the front desk was really nice. The rooms are great. The pool and bar are nice.

Some of the other staff weren’t as nice as the man.

Rooms were comfortable and clean

Breakfast was chaotic, it’s nice to be able to order a decent cup of coffee or tea that comes to your table instead of having to join a long queue

Rooms are specious , nice pool area , good breakfast . The hotel is also very clean

Service was bad , the staff running breakfast was rude , my friend was taking some juice not realising it was 11.02 . The girl behind the counter snatched his glass from his hands telling him breakfast was over . There’s many ways to say no , but this is non acceptable Also the staff at the bar by the pool were very abrupt , never a smile , always acting annoyed at every new orders

The breakfast was fabulous and the hotel was very clean and tidy.

Location. I needed to call a taxi in order to go to somewhere.

Cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general was clean and modern

The food in the evening food was gold cold and sent back on 2 occasions and the wok vegetables the first time my sister and I was served it was cold and the vegetables were not fresh it was sent back and came out upping hot and fresh albeit all the meals were not seasoned

Beautiful spacious room with modern finishes and a very comfortable bed.

The quality of the breakfast could be improved. The price per night could be reviewed in terms of value for money (relatively expensive).

Seemed to be run by a skeleton staff who were almost invisible, I had to knock on the staff door to get attention
