North West Restaurant & Guesthouse

Food was amazing at the restaurant, staff was nice.

The room itself was clean and nice, but pretty sure the sheets weren¿t clean, found a bunch of hairs in the bed

The restaurant at the location was excellent. I had the lamb chops and was amazed at how delicious they were.

That I only tried the one dish, it was plenty and delicious.

The towels were nice. Coffee was good.

Broken and cracked windows, dirty room, outdated furnishing, the heater did not heat the room well enough. The room was two small, I had the beds together for my husband and I. The staff did not say much to us, and they didn't say anything when we checked out

The accommodations were like living in a box. Did not bring luggage upstairs too dangerous for older travelers.

Gook place to sleep and have breakfast on the way to north Iceland. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Too much road noise during the night.

conveniently located at the side of the road. Restaurant is crowded and the food is good.

The toilet needs some deep cleaning. The breakfast is too simple

It was one of the few options on the ring road in the north west. The breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

Pillows, condition of the bathroom.

We also had dinner which was delicious. The Common room upstairs was great to sit and relax and we enjoyed the breakfast provided.

Convenient with restaurant on main floor. Pleasant sitting room for guests.

It looked dated from the outside.

Although small, the room was clean and had what we needed for one night's stay. The price was fair. The bed had a good mattress. The hotel is quite close to the main road, so some traffic noise is to be expected. It's a huge plus to have the restaurant one the floor below because it's a good one. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The pillows were too soft and small for me. I was woken up by a noise at around 5 AM, not sure what that noise was though, it came from downstairs and continued for a while on and off.

Looks like a roadside diner with a few rooms above , right on main highway Our room was tiny, faced west onto exterior where sun beat in , making room like a sauna on a May afternoon. Both bedroom and bathroom tiny , not what we expected for $200 a night . There was a tiny window about 12” wide that only opened a little way on an arm. Spoke to staff , no other rooms available, we sure got the worst room . Staff did compliment our hamburger dinner after a chatWould not recommend stopping in this area, rather go into the next town Hvammstangi or actual town of Laugarbakki

The room was clean, good bed. Good value for the price. Dinner at the restaurant was surprisingly delicious--probably our best meal in Iceland that wasn't fish.

The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. It was very warm weather when we were there and there was no way to cool the room except to keep the door and window open (probably an infrequent problem).

Easy reachable, with good restaurant, comfortably furnished.

The location is perfect and the food is amazing.

The beddings are itchy and the toilet is not that clean, the towels seems like a rug and you can hear noises from other rooms.

(It is a warning) I booked a single room, i found a flash red light in the shower head when i was having a shower ,i didn’t know what it was and didn’t ask the owner, but it absolutely is weird thing , i have never ever seen a flash light in shower head ,at least not another hotels in Iceland.

The location

Run down truck stop. Broken windows. Worn furniture, the water from the faucet had a bad smell. The description said that they served breakfast at an extra charge, but they told us that they did not serve breakfast at all.

It was on route right next to the main road.

It was a bit noisy with lots of trucks stoping by.

Its location was convenient for the journey we had planned -

Very basic, at not so basic prices - Small room, no facilities for breakfasts in the morning in a remote location, and the water had a strong Sulphur smell.
