What Guests Loved

Pros +
- There were some good points: it was clean, the breakfast buffet was decent, and most of the staff were kind, though the reception team seemed a little jaded. The guest mix is very much dominated by English tourists, with some Spanish visitors as well.In the end, it just wasn’t what I was hoping for. If you absolutely must be in Albir, then this hotel is serviceable. But if you’re dreaming of a warm-weather holiday by the sea, there are hundreds of better—and often cheaper—choices.

Cons -
- I came here with some hope, drawn in by the name “Playa” and the four-star promise, but I left feeling more disappointed than anything else. Despite being called a beach hotel, it’s actually nowhere near the beach. You rely on a shuttle (free, thankfully), but the setting is far from what you imagine when booking a “Playa” holiday. The hotel itself feels tired. The pool is about the size you’d expect in a private Spanish home, not in a resort, and the whole place is really in need of an upgrade. It feels small, dated, and not deserving of its four stars.Room walls are well insulated but the did and windows were not. You could hear the people talking in the corridors and balconies till late at night. Not so restful.
- Staff were not overly helpful
- One elevator not working Balcony on the shadow side

Location and facilities
The bathrooms need updating the bath felt very unsafe as it was very slippery
The food and Restaurant service was very good!Always fresh and good quality.Nice garden and Pool area.
Very noisy at night times (until after midnight on 3 out of 4 nights) when we stayed at Easter weekend as there was a lot of youngsters (sports teams). Our room was unfortunately on a low level and close to the atrium. The noise echoed from the reception/bar/ pool area.We asked for a quiet room on a higher floor when we booked. Unfortunately we were allocated one of the noisiest rooms on the 2nd floor. We couldn't changed as the hotel was full.Very disappointing as it wasn't as relaxing as we were expecting. The reception received several complaints from other guests.
Clean great location
Only 1 lift working no tea coffee facilities in the room
Albir is the nicest place in this area. Hotel bike friendly, perfect for one week training
Every thing was good
Location was good and breakfast
A bit boring. We went to spend mew year’s weekend. Spa was close, swimming pool was close, gym was closed. No entertainment in the evening. Nothing really for children , except a few arcade machines.
second christmas here, very enjoyable and well situated. food is very good and the staff very friendly.
lack of evening entertainment
Having Lidil next door as they didn’t even give you a complementary water
Breakfast and they need more and new toasters had to wait ages for toast then the breakfast is cold
Hotel is fine but stay was ruined by the fan noise.
The reason I have given a low score for the room and comfort is the ventilation noise in the bedroom that cannot be turned off.
our third visit to this hotel, the first 9 years ago and it has not changed much.last time i said food was OK, breakfast being the best and this has not changed.hotel beautiful decorated for Christmas
we got what we expected, the rooms are quite small and now looking a little tired
Great staff, great facilities, beautiful pool, comfortable, clean. Love it!
WiFi was terrible.
Location, price, facilities, pool, room, breakfast.
WiFi was slow and down often.
Location , cleanliness and breakfast quality
Good breakfast and large comfortable room with walk in shower
Pleasant
The food in the hotel restaurant was well below what is expected of a 4 star rated hotel. The bathroom in our room had black mildew on tile grouting above the toilet.Generally room was in need of some TLC, again not 4 star standard.TV had problems changing channels. Which resulted in new remote control appearing after complaint.Waste bin in bathroom had not been emptied from previous occupant. Small piece of plastic clearly in view in centre or room remained for our three night stay.Would I recommend or stay again ? NO
Bad
In bathroom was not clean, a lot somebody hears. Lunchtime in rice we found worm, and staff just take it out but other they left it for others. They not through all it. I take full boarding but didNot came backTo that kitchen.
Clean rooms comfortable bed
We couldn’t order room service if you wanted alcohol as would not deliver to room I’m 65 my husband 69 we wanted to chill in room as to many children and extremely noisy
. Weather was great..enjoyed the pool
you could not bring a drink from the bar into the restaurant. Found that quite odd. Everything had a price. For a 4* hotel you would expect tea and coffee facilities in your room, an iron and ironing board and a safe..instead you had to pay extra for these things which annoyed me a bit. There was a safe but you had to pay 4.50 per day to use it. My husband is a very early riser and loves a coffee first thing but couldn't. We had to go out and buy towels too because you had to pay 10 euro each deposit and then 2 euro each day to bring a towel down to the pool.
