Hotel Mercure Brive

Staff all very helpful - as always - and happy to accomodate any reasonable requests.

I would have appreciated a wider selection of good value wines on the dining menu - but acknowledge there is a wide selection of quality wines, however not all budgets cover those costs.

Easy to reach from the motorway

Room door would not lock. No one available to fix it until following day. Bedside table broken resulting in a drink spill.

It looked tired and needing a refurbishment. Not the usual standard for a Mercure.

Great location for Motorway (but see below) and otherwise good facilities and excellent restaurant.

Room air-con not working and all rooms at back of hotel overlook the motorway. Had to open the double-double glazed windows to overcome the stifling. Apart from maybe 2hours before dawn, the thunderous traffic noise was however relentless. Wife then found she was covered in mosquito bites. Reception staff apologised but maybe without much sense that anything might be done.

Pet friendly. great out door space very near by for exercising dog - (the lake to the rear of the hotel under the motorway bridge). Very close to M20 Junction 50 so convenient for travelling. spacious and clean room. Large garden by the pool and terrace so pleasant for sitting out side.

it was Easter weekend but the restaurant was closed. This was the 2nd hotel of the trip which advertised a Restuarant but it was closed. However there was a very good Restuarant nearby which was also dog friendly.

Excellent location near autoroute.

The only disadvantage of being so close to the autoroute is the noise of passing traffic, but it was not so loud as to be intrusive.

Excellent staff, location and restaurant...

....but the AC system should have been available during the warm weather in April (25°C).....!!

Location by autoroute exit. Breakfast.

Wash basin drained very slowly. Bathroom door too big for doorframe, would not shut. Place needs better q.c. on maintenance. Otherwise OK.

Buffet breakfast nothing exceptional!

We had a superior room. Which was fine. BUT toilet was very small. I had to squeeze around door to close it, standing one leg beside toilet. OK I’m a 17 stone male but relatively well footed!Also bad point of hygiene! Door handle had dried brown on it. Probably because cleaner would have to go in close door to clean it. Not great design!! But this is the only grumble!!

Breakfast was good, the calm of the property was not bad.

The payment was debited twice and there are no reply from booking customers care and the property are doesn’t believe the it’s charged tow times

Breakfast was outstanding, the swimming pool was great to enjoy before hitting the road, right next to the access to the highway, easy onsite parking included, beds were really comfortable and service really kind and helpful.

Everything waa perfect. A fridge in the room would have been helpful.

Staff, food, setting, eating on the terrace...what is not to like?

Bar not open until 7pm...why not?
