Greet hotel Angoulême Ouest

Just off the motorway, plenty of free parking and there's a bar/ restaurant at the hotel.

The room was tiny, bathroom was very small too no toilet paper and only one towel for a 3 bed room. Very disappointing

We were traveling through France and needed a stop over. This was perfect. Rooms were clean and staff excellent. To my embarrassment they spoke much better English than I did French.Breakfast was plentiful and the breads were delicious.

This is our third time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian and back. The first two times were so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. The quality of food and presentation far exceed any expectations of a hotel priced this affordably. You can see and taste the effort! This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!I love the hand crafted pillow accents too!

Good location for onward travel. Good restaurant facilities, friendly and helpful staff.

I think it is a little over priced for what is essentially a clean and tidy premier classes hotel.

Not much choice of food in the area (public holiday so restaurant was closed.) staff were very helpful!

Nice bar/ reception/breakfast area. Nice breakfast. Staff pleasant and helpful. Well situated on the edge of the main road yet no traffic noise from the room.

Facilities in room were adequate but no hairdryer and the shower is very small. Ok for me as I am small but maybe difficult for some people.

Went towards end of breakfast time (but certainly not late) and most of the bread had gone and not been replenished. Were there ever any croissants? We don't know.

Always love this place which has very friendly and helpful staff.Although we didn't have breakfast this time, we remember it as being rather substantial last time. We will definitely be taking the breakfast next time.

Unfortunately, the restaurant shuts at the weekend (not sure if that's seasonal) for dinner.

You can tell some thought has gone into the decor of the reception area, bar and restaurant. All really clean and well looked after

We were so happy we chose to Greet Hotel. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve had on our road trip and the facilities in the restaurant/bar were amazing. The food was great and the staff were brilliant. We highly recommend. We also loved the shutters in the room so no need for curtains. We had the best night sleep followed by a delicious breakfast.

Great if heading to Spain. Good value restaurant. Nice friendly vibe

Poky room but clean Angouleme town interesting

Breakfast was amazing and no packaging whatsoever. Slabs of butter and cheese, a great selection of fresh unprocessed food and fruit, and decent orange juice & great coffee.

The shower was very small but it did the job.

Location very convenient for the places I needed to visit.

I came for breakfast on Thursday at 8.45 and there was no early no bread and no croissants

Lovely good value hotel for a stopover.Very dog friendly.Fabulous breakfast with local priduce.We always stay here .

The food in the restaurant was a bit basic but the wine was fine. It was good being able to leave the dog in our room. There were areas to exercise her too.

The bathroom was a bit small and the temperature in the room was uncontrollable- we tried but could get anything working- so we were uncomfortable.

Good, out of town location. Great for a night stop. Lots of free parking. The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable and the linen a good quality. There are plenty of electric sockets and the wifi is good. The buffet breakfast is good value for money. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

The bathroom is like a capsule with little room to move but the shower is good if you don't mind a wet shower curtain.

Good stop for us as we had just driven up from Salamanca in Spain so we were just looking for a bed for the night that wasn't too expensive. The greet hotel met this requirement and indeed surprised us how comfortable and clean it was. They even had a bar where we could get a drink and snack. The receptionist and bar lady were wonderful and spoke perfect English. Given that we only have school day french this was very helpful. If we find ourselves in that part of the world again it's a definite stop over.

What I liked the most was the breakfast, the vintage vibes and its commitment to ecological practices.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The location to the motorway was good and there was plenty of parking. The breakfast was good.

The restaurant was not open.
