Pros +
- Dan and Francois are fabulous hosts. They work very hard to make the guests feel welcome. The rooms are well decorated, large and comfortable. The rural setting and the accommodation itself create a sense of peace and calm. The evening meal was superb, delicious, wonderful! Again in the restaurant there was a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It really is a place to come and unwind for a few days and enjoy fabulous meals.
- Convenient for outbike tour. Host very friendly and helpful and good food and value for money
- Didn’t like anything as we weren’t able to stay there , but still had to pay .
Cons -
- Appalling service , our flight were delayed and we rang to tell the hotel that we would be late and rung booking.com to explain what had happened . Neither were prepared to accomadate our request . Leaving us feeling very anxious that we would have no where to stay late at night when we arrived at the airport .
- Our mattress was a bit on the soft side for our liking!
- The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The price was very reasonable, so price/quality it is reasonable. just set your expectations.

Everything, Dan and Francois were super friendly and so helpful, dinner was very good as was the breakfast would definitely go back.
I arrived early after walking 20plus km on a hot day. Dan welcomed me warmly and gave me a large apartment on the ground floor. They also put together a vegetarian salad for me at dinner. I am very thankful for their hospitality. Great job!
We were made incredibly welcome by firstly Francois and then later by Dan. Both of whom continued to make our two night stay really pleasant. We were there to look at a property and we were given great local information and guidance from both.Hotel is "quirky" with its Convent history and once you know this the decor makes total sense.Room was a really good size, clean and a nice view of the Abbey.Food was good , wholesome and plentiful prepared by Dan himself. (we didn't do breakfast but it was offered)!Location is just perfect for exploring the village and the surrounding area.Oh and the local "Fanny's" beer served was fabulous!!
Our mattress was a bit on the soft side for our liking!
Nice accomodation with a cosy restaurant and garden. We really liked the nice host. He was very friendly.
The location (village) is beautiful and worthwhile a visit.

Very welcoming owner and staff. Good evening meal and breakfast.
Lovely position in a pretty french rural town with local facilities including a small Carrefour supermarket.Great welcome on arrival. Room was large and comfortable with a separate sitting area.Breakfast and dinner was excellent. As with most french rural hotels, the food was menu du jour, with choices for each course, all very tasty.Very tranquil setting and all the staff were excellent and we will visit again. We enjoyed our time at the hotel and extended our stay by 3 days to further explore the area.
One would have to try very hard to find fault.
One of the great joys of travelling through France used to be the wide variety of simple, comfortable & welcoming places to stay. However, arriving on a Sunday, as I did, was not ideal. Staff were nowhere to be seen. The entrance was locked & confirming Hobson's Choice for dinner, was a pressing requirement by the patron. Warm greetings were few and far between and just the idea of having a cool beer, before the appointed hour, was a complete non starter. There was a patio from the bedroom but unfortunately, the doors were chained shut. I can only assume that the previous occupant was over-stressed. Apart from that, the sheets appeared clean.
Everything else.
Super friendly hotel in a beautiful village. The hosts made me very welcome. I had a lovely room and the meals were delicious. Free car parking and WiFi and a very quiet and calm location.
Owners were great. V helpful. Breakfast was yummy
Location was great as we were looking at properties and the owner and staff were friendly.
Man on a reception.
Shower was build in cabin inside the room.I have moved chair that was next to the shower cabin and behind the cabin, there was huge mold on the wall.Bed was unstable.Outdoor blind was making noise whole night due to the mid wind.
Very friendly welcome. Good log fire. A limited but perfectly good menu. English spoken.
The hotel is on an established pilgrim route and had numerous religious bits and pieces around the place. Nothing wrong with that, just a bit unexpected. I expect it will get much busier in the summer but there were just two other rooms occupied out of 20 when we were there in late November.
Friendly staff room ok a little dated
They need more staff we couldnt get anyone when we left in the morning and had to miss breakfast. The room was very hot and the bathroom was tiny. The Towels did not smell very clean very musty, and only one smallTowel each. The Hotel was not expensive but its very run down with unkept areas all around.Shame it was once I imaginea nice place.
Very charming room with excellent hosts! The food in the restaurant was delicious! Make sure to enjoy a Fanny while you are there!
Can’t think of anything tbh.
An exceptional and friendly welcome from the co-owner, who is English, thus obviating the need for my pigeon French! Easy parking for my motorcycle near to the entrance. An excellent 3-course meal with substantial portion size. A lovely view from the terrace. Hard to fault this place.
My only regret was having to leave after only one night, as I wanted to stay longer!
Lovely big room and comfortable bed. The food was excellent. Would definitely fo again.
Only criticism wish the room had tea and coffee facilities.
