Hotel Breiddalsvik

It was a nice room and staff was very friendly. She actually upgraded our room for our anniversary. A nice surprise!

Very welcoming and friendly staff! The hotel had a very nice lounge area with a fire place for guests to enjoy. Food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious.

It was just lovely. The staff were all super nice. We loved that there was a restaurant on site. The 24 hour coffee machine was a bonus! It had some great attractions nearby and we saw the northern lights. I loved the skylight in our bathroom because it gave us a delightful sunrise through it.

Not enough to do there and we did leave one day early.

The property was well maintained. They had a delightful restaurant in the lobby area. Also had a guest lounge where everyone gathered. A chance to meet other travelers.

They had a free coffee in the lounge. Which was lattes etc.

Good place to relax and take a break from a long drive. Staff are extremely nice, free parking, good wifi, and a simple breakfast.

The room was quite comfortable, from the linens to the bed. Nice bath products. Lights above the beds for nighttime reading. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. There's a common room with lots of seating, a TV, computer, coffee machine & teas plus an honor bar. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Dinner was really great. We had the char and lamb - both scrumptious. Breakfast was nicely presented and good. I would definitely stay again.

The Hotel was very nice. There was everything you needed. Also the room was clean, spacious and comfortable.Free parking in front of the hotel. I'd recommend it.

Very cozy, comfortable, clean. Nice personnel and you have access to tea/coffee area. Also, sauna and hot tube available, unfortunately we didn’t have to use it, but it looked nice. Breakfast was tasty too.

The hotel was spotless and very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and gave us local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. The lounge area was cozy and there was free coffee in the morning. It was a great location right off route 1. The WiFi worked great. We highly recommend staying here and would stay again next time we’re in the area!

We were very appreciative of the hotel staff, especially Alla, who went out of their way to provide us with a meal when the restaurant was closed and we had missed the booking.com message. Real customer service in action.

Hotel Breiddalsvik had several facilities like a restaurant, a hot tub and sauna and a large communal room with lots of sofas and tables and chairs you could just hang out.There was also a free tea/ coffee machine in the communal room and snacks you could pay for via a QR code.

There isn’t much ;anything to do in Breiddalsvik (Blafell) but it is fine for a stop if doing the ring road. There wasn’t a kettle in our room. You could just go to the tea/ coffee machine down the corridor to get hot water but it would be good to have an in-room kettle so I don’t have to be fully dressed to get my morning cup of tea!

excellent dinner. the lamb and cod dishes were the best we had after 1 week in Iceland. waitress grumpy.

breakfast...29 euros for VERY basic buffet.terrible value. should have driven to Djupvogur.

Poor value for money, wouldn’t recommend.

Got a wrong room number from my booking so I woke someone up when we arrived. Had to call for information to the correct room. Window faced a gravel road where vehicles drove past at all hours. Nightstands were cheap ikea stools. Poor value for money, no breakfast included but possible to add for a high fee.

Worst stay in our whole trip

Room is tiny and furniture is barely basic. Shower room doesn’t have shampoo or shower gels. Due to the unclear instructions we had difficulty finding the door to the second floor. It was raining and cold at night, while the staff was reluctant to open the door for us.
