This bed & breakfast is located in Kirkjubæjarklaustur and at the edges of the Skaftafell glacier and Lakagígar volcanic formation. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Bed linen and towels come standard in the rooms. Some rooms include a desk and TV. Private and shared bathroom facilities are found. At Hörgsland Guest house you will find a terrace. Pros +
- View of the mountains was nice. Hot tub was a plus. Staff was friendly. The common area with microwave, dishes and sink was great.
- Good location. Room meet all basic needs. Bathroom was clean and functional
- Breakfast was great. The room was nice and the facilities were clean.
Cons -
- Mattresses on the bunk beds were horrific. Way too thin for adults. Maybe usable a small child. Shower flooded the entire bathroom. Fan did not work, the bathroom smelled like mildew. TV had only one working channel. Breakfast was bland. No eggs.
- Bed linens were scratchy so we used our sleep sacks and blankets instead.
- The pillows could of been better. It would have been nice if the hot tub was working (though the next town over had geothermal pools which we definitely made use of and enjoyed).
