Hotel Leirubakki

The location of this hotel was great and so beautiful. Warm water and comfortable beds. We had breakfast (which is included) the 2 days we were there and it was delicious.

The location was not very interesting.

I like everything about this place. It’s in the nature, so many horses around. Great breakfast and the room is very comfortable.

Secluded and quiet place, friendly staff, tasty and fresh breakfast, hot tub, spacious rooms, very clean, windows shutters, coffee machine available in the common area.

The WiFi signal in the room at the end of the corridor was not great.

Convenient location for our route.

Cheap enough, by Iceland standards, but was the most in need place of a renovation of all the places we’ve stayed over our 3 trips to Iceland.

Beautiful outdoors. Loved walking around. Really nice host. Good breakfast includes to start the day with. Was a good place for us to stay on way to Landmannaugar. But - Its actually 25 minutes drive from Hella - coming back from hiking you need 50 minutes to drive to town for gas and food. So you just need to take it into account.

Bed wasn’t really comfortable (pillow - too old)Bathroom door didn’t really close well.

We loved that it was away from the crowds, but close to many great spots. The owners were lovely and welcoming. Our room was quiet and comfortable and we woke up each day with a horse outside our window. We also loved that breakfast was included.

We liked everything- comfortable beds, very clean, beautiful location, good breakfast (hotel was full so good options), nice size room (bathroom is small), good value for Iceland

Not an issue for us - more of guesthouse than hotel, with reasonable expectations a very good experience

We were the only ones at the hotel that evening, so we had exceptional service from the staff there. The rooms were very spacious, and I really enjoyed my time there. This stay was better than any of our previous 6 nights in Iceland.

We knew beforehand that there wasn't any evening restaurant service, however in such a remote location it would have been helpful.

Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean and warm room. Nice hot tub. We enjoyed the remote location.

The scenery was beautiful with the horses and volcano in the distance.The shared common area was nice and clean and so was the room.

The Viking pool area was really neat but not very inviting

Room is nice but bathroom could be cleaner

Remote location. Scenic. Clean. Comfortable. Relaxing. Easy check-in. We loved it. Perfect for the northern lights tho we didn't experience it. Breakfast included inside a unique building along with mountain views. Breakfast and coffee superb. A kettle used for our 2 minute noodle dinner - no kitchen. Highly recommend.

It isn't a 'didn't like' more a wish if they had we'd use it - somewhere to wash and hang small amount of clothing (travelling light).
