Beautiful setting. Quiet. Great restaurant. À problem with our initial room was rapidly settled by upgrading us to a différent room.

Amazing sushi restaurant. Jacuzzi pools were nice. Gardens were beautiful. Nice to have a balcony for wine in the evenings.

The large pool was closed. They had sent an email beforehand, but the email was not clear as it said the ?tank? was closed. They did not refer to it as a pool or lake only the ?tank.? Very disappointing as jacuzzis were small and crowded.

Botanical gardens and hot springs

No ambiance music in the bar lounge. We heard the servers talking and washing dishes. Didn?t give a vibe that made you want to relax and stay a while. Really weird because there was music in the main dining room. Why not in the bar?

The fine touches, included breakfast, robes/slippers, excellent service.

24 hour access to their mineral pool

Staff was not very welcoming or kind, bc we were casual? very high fees/charged for things like room service and asking for cutlery if bringing anything back to the hotel. We weren¿t aware the gardens weren¿t under construction and not accessible.

Beautiful hotel in amazing setting with fantastic amenities and friendly and accommodating staff! Price in late Feb was very reasonable!

Parking was a little tight.... Wish the indoor pool had a lap section....

Great hotel, loved the location, all the staff was excellent & attentive. The hotel & grounds were extremely well kept & clean.

The only complaint is the shower had no soap holder or a place to put shower toiletries or to place a leg to shave.

I have been all over the world im pursuit of taking the waters so to speak. The natural Hot mineral springs. This resort and gardens and every little thing was extraordinary. The staff was so kind and genuinely hospitable to my friend and I. The entire experience is other worldly.

There is nothing I did not like.

Hard to describe our stay there. Beyond amazing. The location is perfect, the surroundings and the hotel itself are breathtaking and you are treated like royalty at all times. Breakfast is varied and tasty, the park with geothermal pools where you can go for free whenever you want (even outside of working hours) is otherworldly, the restaurant and the sushi bar are among the best on the island - both service and taste. If I come back to Sao Miguel, I know where to stay. Definitely worth the money. If it is not too pricey for you, look no further!

I guess the saunas could be better but that is so irrelevant

The breakfast was great. And the hot pools annd grounds are amazing!

Dinner was good though the menu was limited when traveling with people with different tastes. We found a sushi restaurant in the hotel which we weren’t told about when we asked about options.

This place is a must when visiting the Furnas area. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. The outdoor areas are beautiful. This is our second visit and every time gets better!

World class property with the most wonderful gardens and access to the hot spring pool at times only for guests. The breakfast was quite good, the staff very accommodating, the art deco details were very classy and well designed through throughout. Both lunch and dinner at the main restaurant were terrific.

Excellent hotel, very nice people at the reception, very good breakfast, easy private parking, walking distance to many good restaurants. It was nice to have an excess to the thermal pool after all people who did not stay at the hotel left. The botanical garden/park that hotel owns was so beautiful. We walked there in the morning before it was opened for the people that come for the day and we were the only ones in the entire park. Very nice experience!

We liked our stay there very much, but one thing spoiled our memory: in the morning of our check out day we went to the breakfast and I left my purse in the room thinking that nobody would enter it before we vacate it. When we came to our next destination, I realized that 3 50Euro bills were missing from my wallet. And I knew they were there the day before and I did not use any cash to pay for anything. That was very sad! I have notified the hotel, but have not heard anything from them yet.I am mentioning this episode to let people know to use the safe even if you leave the room for a short period of time!

90 year old stately hotel located with spectacular public park and natural hot springs. Springs private to hotel only after 5pm so it is virtually empty. Park is one of the prettiest in the world.

Avoid room facing the street.

The entire hotel and grounds were exceptional. The staff was excellent. Delicious breakfast. Very clean and comfortable.
