Hôtel Les Gabarres

Kind staff, beautiful location and a very nice room! Very accommodating of last minute plans and the need for a late check-in

We had car trouble and had to book a hotel in the area last minute. The staff were so helpful even translating for us and taking calls from our rental car company since our French is very limited. Called a cab for us and set up our transportation. The hotel was clean, comfortable and secure. The breakfast was nice and a good value.

Location was a short drive to Sarlat but there wasn’t much within walking distance.

Hôtel Les Gabarres is a functional and comfortable hotel, though rather expensive for what it is. It seems to be benefiting from the lack of competition. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly.

There is no check in before 4.00 pm. Otherwise everything is OK.

Bad

The service is poor. Besides that, they marked us as no-show when that is not true. They do not speak English and that might be the reason why they screwed up

What a lovely place to stay . The lady was really nice and helpful on arrival . We even had a garage to park the motorcycle . Lovely ancient town across the bridge . Little village down the road . Ideal to stay over and have a safe place for your motorcycle . Would use again

Breakfast was good, the pool area was lovely and the staff are extremely friendly. And they have the cutest dog!

Rooms are rather small and not that modern but as we didn’t stay much in the room that was okay.

Great pool and the room had everything you need. Small room but very well organized and very convenient. It worked perfectly for our family of 4.

Its within easy access to the beautiful places we wanted to visit. The staff is super helpful, when we asked info about the gabarres, boating on the river, Aurelie picked up the phone to reserve our seats, she even got us a discount on the fares, she showed us how to get there.

Friendly staff, the pool on a hot day, the washing machine and a good breakfast. Our room had air conditioning that was most welcome.

If you have a car the location is fine. On the other hand if you’re on a bike tour then it is a a bit of a problem in the low season. Cirq Lapopie the main attraction, is over the river up a long steep hill. The local restaurants were closed leaving only the nearby caravan park.

Breakfast was OK for the 12€ charged. Staff friendly. Our room looked directly over a large swimming pool which was pleasant but unfortunately heavy rain made swimming impossible.

A surcharge if one wanted to arrive before 4pm. A surcharge if you brought your own beverages into the hotel (unusual?). Bedrooms off a long dark, institutional like corridor which was depressing. More like a motel than a 3 star hotel
