Boutique-Hotel Villa Anna

This was such a charming and lovely boutique hotel. We had a large room that was very comfortable and exceptionally clean! The neighborhood was beautiful and so quiet. The breakfast was so delicious with lots of choices of very fresh foods. We highly recommend this hotel! It’s outstanding!

Nothing. It was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they also helped us make reservations at restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room definitely felt high class. Walkable to town, though it does take about 20 minutes, and the villa is on a hillside so it's a steep walk.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Breafast was excellent. Appreciated being able to order items as well as the buffet.

No elevator. Had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with suitcases. Not advisable for seniors. Small bar. No restaurant.

Very peaceful stay. The room is huge, beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel is located in a beautiful place on the top of a hill. Everything is perfectly clean.

This was a stay in a beautiful art deco style villa dated 1907. Once inside the boutique hotel, we entered a warm haven of a gold and brown coloured interior, and were heartily welcomed by the lady at the reception. She offered us a coffee, while she finished cleaning our room, as to allow us an early check-in. The hotel manager helped us with bringing up the luggage to our room. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and with all comfort to feel “home away from home”. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of homemade goodies. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Not applicable to us. All was perfect. Maybe if you are less mobile, the stairs that lead up to the house and the hilly location might be a problem for you.

Breakfast was great, room was beautiful with a view below. Facility is very clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly.

Language barrier (hard to communicate with proprietor due to no English). There is no elevator (many stairs to carry luggage). Parking is in the street only and quite limited.

breakfast is excellent. You get different sort of cheese, salmon, different sort of sausages and eggs like you wish. Müsli and fresh fruits as well as fresh orange juice. You get different softdrinks for free the minibar is filled for free use

The bathroom was a bit unusual. But at the end functional. Everything else was perfect.

Nice hotel by German standards. Clean. Good views from the room and the outside terrace. You could buy a limited selection of alcohol from reception. Breakfast was nice.

Completely inappropriate location and hotel for anyone with mobility issues, but no information shown when booking. It’s near the top of a long steep hill over 1km from the town, and the hotel itself is all steps, and more steps. Parking is literally on the street, if you can get a space. No food options offered outside of breakfast. Also the level of spoken English is not good so be aware if you have any issues, but staff are helpful.

cosy little hotel with clean rooms and an excellent breakfast!

- Very spacious room and really big, comfy bed. - Nice view looking over the Eisenach forests and seeing the Burschenschaftsdenkmal on the hill.- Breakfast was adequate for a few nights stay and own ability to make freshly squeezed orange juice, plus requesting how you’d like your eggs cooked :)- Only 15-20mins by foot into the old town to grab a Thüringer Bratwurst. For dinners, only 10mins drive to a few local, well known restaurants in the city.

- Everything was fine for us in Eisenach for 2 nights.

Great location in the green area and beautiful views , close to the Wartburg castle & city centre ; we loved the way up to the hotel , even in the dark the path was well lit !

Perhaps the hotel pillows could be of a better quality stuffed with a natural filling

Hotel is in a Hill, far away from the city center and with no public transport, no restaurant, no shops nearby. To go into the hotel, one has to take 31 steps, it’s even more difficult with heavy luggage. We asked to have a room which can be reached by elevator, but the hotel did not inform us before that there are only steps outside and inside the hotel. People working at the reception can only speak German, with few words in English,making the communication very difficult! The manager of the reception and hotel asked us to pay at the check-in,but others told us only when checkout.

The room was spacious and the furniture very tasteful. The bed was very comfortable

Beautifully renovated small hotel - great views and a delicious breakfast! Very accommodating and put our 2 rooms right next to each other. Lots of space in the rooms!

Parking was a little tight. Because it is so high up on a hill, walking somewhere was tough when we came back!

Breakfast: 10/10. Lavish breakfast buffet + eggs in your preferred style.Room: 10/10. Comfortable bed, wide work desk, free drinks, clean wardrobe, safe with number lock.Location: 10/10. Close to downtown Eisenach and also only 1 hour walking distance from Wartburg (castle).Staff: 10/10. Provided great help in spite of not all of them knowing English. They provided me with a physical map and marked the route to Wartburg for my hike (I prefer the physical map to Google maps).

Bathroom: 5/10. The handheld shower's plastic (or rubber?) head had "fibres" sticking out which I thought were hair at first but the staff assured me that it was just plastic; in any case, that made me a very uncomfortable. Please consider switching to metallic shower heads.Elevator: 0/10. No elevator.

We found when we arrived that Hotel Villa Anna had overbooked and we had no room. They had advised us by message the night before our arrival. Fortunately Hotel Volla Anna had made an alternate booking about 7km away.

Very disappointed with late notice. We did not see the message until we arrived. We were happy with the standard of alternate venue but it was well out of town and distant from our planned activities. Overbooking shouldn't happen.
