Pros +
- The location !!!!
- Excellent location and front desk was professional & kind.
- The only thing I appreciated about this hotel was work of staff who kindly changed one of our rooms because previous one had wet wall covered with mold
Cons -
- The room was quite nice : the bathroom was pretty spacious BUT the room lacked a little freshen-up. It's a bit small and not a lot of attention has been paid to decoration. It's almost great :)
- Filthy hallways, rooms & bath. Mold everywhere!! Filthy curtains & carpet. Wallpaper falling off and paint mostly off & damaged!!! Very few TV channels. Too dirty to even try breakfast!!!
- Horrible. Old, rust and mold everywhere. They try to keep it clean but how can you clean something that has been dirty for ages?? Bed was okay though and sheets were clean.

For convenience to MSM, it is unbeatable but it comes at a “cost”. There are very few restaurant / food options in the area. Even the convenience store in the area is limited in what they stock. You need to either go further down the road .- which rally requires a car (bc bus is very infrequent out towards Hreve or Portorson - or go back to MSM for meals (which are quite mediocre at best).
Room very small, crowded and old carpet and one bed
Everything
Didn't have breakfast.
No restaurant for dinner. No fridge in room.
Musty but in a decent location.
Dank musty smell in room and especially in bathroom. There was also hair (not ours) on the floor. Reception area only attended during limited hours.
It was convenient that there was a shuttle bus of the city that stopped not far from the hotel every 4 min and takes you to mont saint michel!
The property honestly lacked ventilation. You could feel the mold in the room. The smell was awful, we had to be with a window open all the time.
After reading all the negative reviews, I was not sure what to expect from this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the reality. We arrived during the day, e-mail directions about parking were absolutely crystal clear and we knew ahead of time that we will have to pay again if we leave the lot. Just plan your trip accordingly - there is plenty to do at St Michel and enough places to eat, so you do not need your car for 24 hrs and can leave it to rest. If you plan to arrive late (after 7pm), just inform the hotel and you will get instructions about the door code etc. Communicate (you can do it in english, it was fine! And also, there is always a translator available to you on your phone).Shuttle to the island runs every 10 min they say (from 7 to 11 during summer). We had a feeling it was every 5 min. There is a Brioche Doree near the hotel where you can get a quick bite. The hotel itself is clean, bath has bathtub (which is a bit high, but no problem). Everything was clean, well working and water pressure was good for a shower after a long day. I think this property deserves better then what ratings are saying!
Emma made it very good with help. Nice garden view. Fresh air with open windows.
Carpets.
Good location. Thats about it
Had some weird sour smell in the room. Cannot open the window as there’s insects everywhere. There’s no air con and it is a big problem in summerDon’t bother with their breakfast . Save it and use on the island
The receptionist was very helpful and the location is very handy to reach the island.
The room was not completely clean and the carpet is quite old and dusty.
Has a very good ubication, all the nice restaurants are around the hotel . You have the bus stop right a few meters from the hotel. You can walk to the Mount is very close.
We found the breakfast very poor, we went on weekend so no much staff around and enter to the neighborhood with your car wasn’t so easy.
Location, Location, Location Helpful and lovely staffWalk to Mont Saint Michel
The staff was very nice and helpful. They serve a good value yummy breakfast and it is right next to the bus stop. The room was very clean and tidy. Very comfy bed. The area surrounding the hotel is very well kempt and green.
There was a weird smell in the bathroom we could not get rid of. The bathroom itself was clean and tidy though.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was good.
The room was much to small for 2 people. There was no real space for a suitcase, let alone two.
Location is what you pay for here. We appreciated the detailed instructions for check-in, access to the monument, as well as paying for parking/breakfast.
Rooms though generally clean are old. There is mold in places around the windows on walls and curtains that have been wet from moisture either from rain or humidity. The beds were not amazing but the pillows were better than expected. Limited in room amenities but there was a hot water kettle with tea. Guests checking in after hours can use a kiosk which is helpful but it isn’t clearly explained how to do this. Also if there is a situation after 7pm there is not a desk attendant to help.
Room was confortable and with easy access from the parking in front of the hotel. Easy to move the heavy luggage. Good connection with the abbey's free shuttle.Firndly stuf, english speaking but with frech warmth
Excellent location - Basic facilities and clean. Very nice staff.
Fairly Easy access to shuttle to Mont Saint Michel
Parking entrance was tricky to operate. First time code didn’t work and tour busses honking for me to get out of way was nerve wracking
