Hotel Luther Birke Wittenberg

Hotel was quaint, meals/ food were wonderful, staff were kind and helpful. As English speaking travelers they were very accommodating in trying to communicate. Exceeded expectations!

There is no lift. This was slightly hard for me getting to the 2nd floor.

The transport to the facility gave me issues, I had to walk first time to the location from the main town. But this is not fault of the property. Maybe they can look into it.

The rooms are reasonably spacious and the bed was comfortable. The best thing about our visit was the fact that they kept the kitchen open so we could eat after a long day cycling. The only person we saw was clearly stressed and stretched but, incredibly, after a 10 minute wait, he appeared with menus and 15 minutes later with the food and the day ended with gratitude to this person, who must have been let down by a colleague, as he had to check in guests and wait table!

It isn't in Wittenberg town but 6kms outside! This was unexpected and unwelcome given how tired we were and has taught us to look on the map more carefully next time. After an interminable wait to check in, we were told to hurry as the restaurant, and the only place to eat anywhere near, closed soon. The thought of being turned away as the kitchen closed at 9pm and it was 2030 was terrifying. Only German TV.

Nice place to stay. Good food

Not cheapest place to stay and I was waiting better conditions. In one room didn’t have toilet paper and in the other room there was ants running everywhere and even on the bed. Not nice :(

The area is quiet and the surrounding of the hotel is very well kept and pleasant to spend time.The restaurant is cosy and friendly.Hotel is very clean and well kept.

Wifi reception in room was very bad, I wasn't able to even send a WhatsApp message and had to use mobile network.Lamps next to bed make a very high-pitched electric sound, I had to keep them off because the sound was very irritating.Breakfast had no vegan options.

Staff were generally friendly. Breakfast had a huge range of choices, all good quality.

Room was very disappointing. I had reserved a single and got 'upgraded' to a twin. It was cold, miserable, noisy and facing the car park. Felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel - felt ripped off.

The hotel is one of these hotels that charge you a relatively low amount and for everything else you need to pay extra. Although we already booked for three persons (2 adults + baby), we had to pay extra the baby bed and there were no towels for the baby. When I complained about it the next morning, they answered that I should have just asked for the extra towels...

Lovely neighborhood, spacious parking place, nice room with a garden view and just 12-15 min by car to the city centre of Göttingen.

Very poor and breaking up internet connection 6 Mb/s, keys to the room were mistaken by someone at the desk and the cleaning lady entered us in the morning despite we asked not to.

Great hotell for families. Large garden in the back and another playground around the corner. Good value for money when transiting in Germany. Food was very good and staff very friendly and helpful.

The personel was very kind.

Would be nice if the charged less for a small dog.
