    Pros +

    • Very friendly, helpful and nice team, any question or request solved immediately, room is very spacy (more than our expectations), big clean cared garden with enough chairs, beautiful calm location (amazing views from the windows),free parking,price/quality -- super !
    • Everything was prepped and ready at arrivalPool in the basement free to useClose to center.
    • Lovely hotel in a good location and perfect spot for those who travel like me by train and bus - the bus stop is only a short walk and then across the street from the hotel. The breakfast was really nice and the staff is lovely and very helpful. Cleanliness is excellent too in this hotel, therefore I can highly recommend this hotel to all future guests and will visit here myself again, too.

    Cons -

    • It would be good to see wet cleaned room once in two days :)
    • One negative is too few parking spaces but that was a small issue. Possible to park close.
    • The only thing I disliked was the lack of an elevator - going to the second floor up steepish stairs with luggage felt a bit challenging after travelling for 12 hours

The location is great, the apartment is modern, nicely decorated and clean. The staff are lovely. There is an allocated parking space for the specific apartment which is very convenient.

The WiFi connection is basically non-existence and only basic TV channels. Would be great to includes some basic items for the lovely kitchen such as salt and pepper, a box of tissue paper and small bins for recycling items such as plastics and paper. One of the showers curtain is placed too close to the small cubicle, hence a little uncomfortable and inconvenient when having a shower.

    Convenient check-in

It was conveniently located and we had a spacious family room.

The pool was fairly chilly and the facilities were not super clean. They seem to be short on staff.

The Rooms was clean and had all you need. Even a electric water heater was in the Room. Staff was kind and helpfull

Good location in front of the see (with railway tracks between but not noise at all). Exceptionally good breakfast (really worths to take it)

The hotel has a new building and an old one. The old is out of date. The cleaning can be improved (sand on the floor and some stains on the sheets)

Nice comfortable room , well equipped and well positioned to walk into town.

    7GauguinjPosted on: 8-25-2023

Very nice breakfast. The room was OK, nothing fancy, but it did the job. Nice with the garden, where you could relax and enjoy the sun. It's smart with the self-service check in, if you arrive early or late. And nice with the opportunity to heat water in the room.

In general, the hotel seems a but worn down. It could use some TLC. The same could be said about the outside area. Old run-down chairs. It's a bit of af bummer, that there is an advertised restaurant, and it apparently is permanently closed.

    breakfast nice,

room old, shower broken.only the roomfloor was new.

The hotel is located close to the center, everything is close. Sauna and swimming pool help with raining weather. In the garden you can drink a coffee. Staff is really helpful. We had great time there ?

water in the swimming pool was a little bit cold

Breakfast good - except for the coffee

limited parking, very basic room, coffee at breakfast, staff appeared overworked or slightly disinterested, no/limited evening meal availability on site

I am a mountain biker and it was extremely convenient to have safe, comfortable lodging close to Germany's northernmost mountain bike resort: Hahnenklee. The hillside location is amazing, with views to the nearby peaks, the bike park, and small town of Hahnenklee below. The 100+ year old building itself retains a somewhat awkward and improvised, internal layout. The lobby features a 60s, retro vibe: a funky throwback to the resort getaway this area must have been (or still is?). I couldn't tell but I liked it in contrast to the cold, ultra-modern chains I usually stay in.The hotel staff, consisting of one person besides the kitchen cook, was very friendly and spoke English and German. I didn't opt for the hotel breakfast, a €12 option on Booking.com. At check in however I learned that the hotel charges only €8, which I also declined but later regretted since it smelled absolutely delicious and looked awesome. This is an independent, family-run hotel and I strongly support this type of franchise, however my negative experiences outweighed the positives so I am unsure I will return. See below

My travel companion and I are mountain bikers who came just for the nearby mountain bike park, a local gem for summer tourism in the region. Despite our hopes, there was no possibility of storing our €8000 worth of bicycles in the room itself. The hotel has a policy for outdoor storage of bicycles in a dry storage facility, separate from the hotel. The small building looks like a former gazebo or outdoor eating area? Access for all is controlled via a single key hanging in the lobby for anyone to obtain, and the building featured glass windows which one could break to steal our bicycles. This was extremely unsettling, however our assumption that the surrounding town was too sleepy to host any active thieves thankfully proved correct. Another mountain biker had a high quality bicycle stored here and we actually met him on the mountain bike trails the following day, however we did not exchange details about this strange hotel. The internals of the building itself were interesting (difficult) to navigate. An almost confusing series of stairways and hallways finally led to our room.Once in the room, my fellow traveler and I were dismayed that the twin beds were combined into a single, king-size bed, despite our booking preference. We had checked-in late that day and did not want to bother with notifying management: it took us about five minutes to separate them by ourselves. The bathroom in our room (number 45) was new but extremely tiny in size. I am 6'4" (196 cm) tall and my knees and head protruded through the doorway when seated on the toilet. I was reminded of my trip to Tokyo, so small where the bathroom dimensions here.Unfortunately the night I stayed featured hot, summer weather outside, and therefore I must complain about the lack of air conditioning. I slept with the window open however was bathed in my own sweat throughout the night. Having access to a fan or room temperature control might've changed that.
