Hôtel La Madeleine

Nice and clean basic room in a lovely village. Will definetly stay again. Super value comparet to other hotels in the village. Easy parking on the square outside the hotel.

Great service, great location. Staff really helpful. Very friendly. Super steak dinner served with a smile. Good night's sleep. Breakfast all fresh and ready in the morning. Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a convenient place for us.

The facilities, although adequate, were basic. The bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast was diy, with fresh croissants, a fridge for juice, cheese etc and a coffee machine. This was not a bad thing in itself, but the atmosphere was bleak and it would have been nice not to have to work out the coffee machine for oneself. The reception was jolly, but not particularly welcoming.

We only stayed for one night at La Madeline, on the way from Troyes to Orléans. The hotel restaurant and bar were closed. It was impossible for us to find an open restaurant anywhere in the village since it was Sunday night. BUT it was a super thing that right in front of the hotel there is a so called Rapid Market that sells everything (water, drinks, fresh fruit, canned food, wine, cheese, etc). We were able to use the microwave at the hotel and ate in their garden. It was pretty basic and rudimentary, but nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even if they didn't speak English. The room was in the back of the building. It was clean. The shower and toilet were separate. The hotel was very centrally located in the Village.

Be careful not to arrive at the hotel on a Sunday evening, because everything is closed. But the hotel can't do anything for that; except maybe open the hotel bar in that case ;)
