- The calmness of the location.
- Big, clean room, hudge comfy bed, nice balcony. Good breakfast. Very nice, polite, caring staff. They really make a different because hotel have not much to offer.
- location on beach
Cons -
- The property is too dated. The villas have no AC, just a ceiling fan. The upstairs bathroom has a window that has no curtains or something to cover it so people walking outside, in the resort, can’t see us in the bathroom. This window is exactly in front of the shower box and we have no privacy what so ever because of this window. The furniture is too old and dates, including the sofas of the villas. On the villas photo in the website, we can see a hammock on the balcony but in reality, this hammock does not exist. The food is good but really few options. We stayed 4 nights, only one day (in breakfast) they had available cachupa to eat (it’s a Cape Verde traditional dish). Overall, a 5 out of 10.
- It's very outdated, only one swimming pool was clean coze in the other one you cannot even see the tails. Water in the pool was freezing cold. There is a beach but you cannot swimm. Balcony has a sea view but disturbed by roof with ugly fans. I couldn't close the bathroom door in my room and the door looks terrible and need to be change. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere and there is no restaurant a la carte only shared Buffet at 19.00; if you are hungry beforehand you will not get anything. Luckily there is a nice local restaurant outside and windy beach bar close by. It's very close to the aiport but you pay for the taxi same price like from Mindelo, because driver need to come frome the city. The stay is overpriced for the quality provided.
- outdated; rooms didn’t have anywhere to plug in electronics; beds were two put together, uncomfortable in the middle. not really worth staying there unless weather warm and can enjoy pools since far from city center.

The nearness to the seaThe staff is friendly and helpful
The poor service at breakfastThe room es run downFridge did not work properlyAircon is loud Wifi with low performance
The beach and grounds are beautiful and the three pools were great for the kids. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The breakfast were great and on the day we had a trip they opened the breakfast an hour and a half early for us which was very helpful. The quality of the food was also much better than I expected. The main attraction of this resort and surrounding area is that it's so peaceful which is exactly what we needed.
As has been said in other reviews the facilities are not maintained properly and almost everything are either not working or broken. The communication in regards to what was included was very poor and on Christmas eve, we were told we had to pay an extra surcharge of 40 euro per adult and 20 euro per child for the special Christmas meal that evening (despite already paying for half board) after going backwards and forwards with the staff we were told we did not have to pay the extra surcharge. Midway through our stay we were charged for water which we were told was included? So there definitely needs to be more clarity in regards to what to expect. We were travelling with young children and dinner at 7.30 was a bit too late.
Location close to the beach, very spatious room, nice pool, free transfer to Mindelo, friendly staff.
Cold water in the shower, breakfast could be better and more diverse, dinner good only three times a week during special events (meat day, fish day and local day).
Close to the airport, although even that they manage to mess up, by not providing convenient shuttle times. The shuttle leaves at set times, which are random, and dont match up to the international flight times. So you basically need to order a taxi for the 4 minute drive, and its expensive.
Where to begin. When we checked in, we were charged, given the room key, and the lady sat back down without saying anything else. No information at all about the hotel, eating times, room location, nothing. We spent 10 minutes looking for our room. Then the facilities themselves are old, outdated, and very run down in some areas. The pool has no water in it, and if you try to walk to the beach, you’ll see a fence with barbed wire surrounding the property. You need to find a rusty door to get to the beach, which is also not clean and full of stray dogs. The hotel is also a complete ghost town during the day, which makes sense, as the pool is not available and the beach is not inviting. Finally the wifi is terrible. If you’re planning on coming here to stay at the resort and enjoy the facilities, look elsewhere. If you just need to sleep for a night to catch a flight the next day, i guess its adequate.
Ubication. Kindness of the staff.
Beds not comfortable. Low light in the room. Needs reformation the rooms.
Location is excellent. Facilities are generally good. Excellent room with beach and sea views. Breakfast was good.
Would have been useful to have had more information about the hotel and the surroundings and services without having to ask everything.
Decent breakfast, although there wasn't much choice.
The handle of the entrance door was broken, as was the toilet seat, ants in the shower and a smell of cat piss throughout the room, I didn't say anything to the reception because we only stayed one night, let's say that the resort could definitely called "salty decadence"....the only positive note was the proximity to the San Andrè bistro-bar restaurant.
Very good
We would have liked to eat at the bar in the evening, but food was not available. The airport shuttle times did not fit in with the flight times, so we had to pay for a taxi.
Well located for the airport and the beach, which was our reason for staying here. Room was spacious and comfortable with a good size balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The swimming pools were lovely, though in need of a little bit of maintenance. The new beach bar/restaurant just outside the hotel on the beach is handy and really good. The beach is a dream to walk along, though in January the currents are a bit too strong for swimming.
It is a shame that the times for the free shuttle bus to the airport (on its way to the city) does not tie in with the international flight to Lisbon. This meant we had to pay for a taxi to come all the way from the city to take us the 5 minutes to the airport. Given the proximity of the hotel to the airport the shuttle should be provided for the few flights.
Bit surprised we were given a 4 bedroom villa with 3 bathrooms. Was expecting a 2 bedroom one. Great location for the airport, and a taxi ride away from Mindelo.Just fine for us as we were only there for one night before flying out. 2 swimming pools, although one is for children only as very shallow. Very quiet when we stayed 28/12 - which suited us, but was told it was fully booked for New year.
Some things a little bit rundown. Window shutter holdback missing, toilet cistern was not filling, ballcock sticky on another.Has a tennis court, but no tennis balls.
Property is a perfect distance from the beach.Breakfast provided was good qualityStaff were excellent and friendly Very relaxing peaceful stay whether your alone or with company.Great quiet location on the island Room was adequate Food was a good standard with variety Transport from the hotel to different locations was hourly
Pool area is nice but pool water should need more maintenance. It has potential to be betterHotel rooms are a little outdated. Could do with minor touch ups but kept basic as they are nice spacious rooms
The facilities are amazing, very nice swimming pool and the gardens are beautiful.
Many of the facilities were closed when we were there in August. Don't know if it was low season, in fact the hotel looked pretty empty. The rooms and bathrooms weren't very clean
Was very good location, and very good that there is bus from the hotel to the city and back, very nice personal and good food.
You can see that it is a bit old hotel with some things which need to repair.
very nice grounds, nice room (no small refrigerator), room nicely appointed, but security lock on door not working, location by the beach very nice.
Had dinner in the restaurant - only one choice that evening: a buffet of rice, beans, collard greens, and cheap commercial fries, with a selection of primarily inexpensive meats brought on skewers. Dessert included in the price was a skinny slice of pineapple served on the same dish as main meal, as waiter refused to bring a clean plate. Meal not worth the money. (Since a food festival was taking place in the main town nearby, other restaurants were closed, so we had no choice.)
It is a big resort close to the airport on Sao Vicente. I liked it a lot more than some other reviews suggest. It was clean, rooms were spacious and staff was friendly. You can actually walk to the airport (about 15-20 minutes). They also have shuttles to Mindelo throughout the day.
Leaving after my stay.
The staff were not friendly or informative despite the place being quiet. Dinner was late and much of the buffet was not hot enough. Despite being a short distance from the airport an early morning taxi was 1000 CVE so no advantage over staying in town. The place needs to be taken in hand and shaken up.
Friendly personnel, nice location, uncomplicated check-in and check-out, nice facilities (pool...), reliable airport transfer.
WIFI in my room was very weak.
