Hotel Jaguar Inn Tikal is located inside the Tikal National Park surrounded by jungle and only a 10-minute walk from the temples of Tikal. It features free Wi-Fi in the restaurant and rooms, as well as offering archaeological tours of Tikal, Yaxha, and Uaxactun. This eco-friendly hotel is run 100% on solar power and has 24 hours of electricity. The bungalows offer basic décor and comfort, with ceiling fans, jungle views, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Electricity and Wi-Fi are available 24 hours. The restaurant at Hotel Jaguar Inn Tikal serves international dishes, vegetarian, vegan, and local-style food. Activities such as horseback riding, hiking, canopy tours, and visits to Tikal, Uaxactun, and Yaxha can be arranged. Tours to waterfalls and to Peten Lagoon are available as well. The location being right next to the entrance to the ruins
Very clean, comfortable, easy access to the ruins, peaceful, nice staff. It is interesting that it runs on a generator due to its remote location. A new experience. Very hot in the day, but comfortable at night.
The hotel was conveniently located to Tikal National Park (but then so were the rest of the hotels in the area). I don't really know what I liked best about the Jaguar Inn. I found the wildlife intriguing, especially the large spider in the bathroom.

Cons -

The rooms were overpriced . Everything is an extra. From the moment I get to the entrance of the park I felt like I was just there to part with my money.
The hotel did provide one small water per person. I wish they had more drinking water provided as it is so hot there. The restaurant is very good, but very expensive.
I found the restaurant adequate but did locate a better one nearby, so I split my mealtimes between the two places. Since it is located in the jungle (rain forest) there were occasions when I found insects probably where I didn't like, but I coped.

Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Proximity to Tikal entrance. Front desk lady was able to provide a lot of helpful information.

Strong cleaning agents used in room was bothersome to one of my traveling companions. Restaurant wasn't very good.
