The room was very confortable, the location was great with stables and a huge forest to walk into.

The temperature of the pool could have been hotter. The restaurant was expensive for the food served.

Not recommended, the only good things are the nature around the property and the clean comfy rooms

I booked this hotel to do the horse riding activity that was offered and promoted by the hotel. They sent me an email about it and I have reserved it our spots and reconfirmed one day before my arrival so I can make sure that the weather is not an obstacle. They called the next day one hour before my arrival to inform that it is not possible due to weather conditions. Then it got worse, i asked for the bikes that they offer, but they were not ready and could not spare me a bike. Their spa is one of the worst, noting that the indoor pool is really cold. So basically we did nothing during stay as there is absolutely nothing to do and nothing around in town, no bars and no restaurants whatsoever. I also experienced more disappointing events in my stay but I do not want to share it. In summary, Novotel does not meet the reputation it has, beware.

We enjoy coming back to this hotel, its environment immediately gets me in a holiday mood. My daughter enjoyed going for a ride on horseback through the forest. Even if you are not staying in the main "castle", you can have a drink there in the bar. We had a great buffet dinner with live music at the Brasserie

The room was quite warm, even if it was freezing outside and the temperature control didn't change anything. The wifi is a bit flaky, good enough for some youtube and email, but it would not be suitable for doing remote work.

We spent a night in this hotel on our road trip but would love to come back to explore the grounds as we didn’t have time too. Room was really comfortable perfect for a good night sleep.

    surroundings

dark, old room, spots on bed cover..

    5FadiPosted on: 9-11-2024

    The location and the surroundings.

We stayed at one of the gites. We had told to pay a hefty 1000EUR deposit that wasn’t announced earlier (crazy if you consider that ALL the old furniture in the room wasn’t worth 500EUR). Quality of breakfast was very good expect that the buffet was empty most of the time and at times you had to wait 20min for the staff to replenish. Plus the restaurant staff wasn’t always very nice and helpful. The indoor and outdoor pools need to be modernising. A gym is a must in a 4 star hotel.

room, check-in, the grounds. the bar and lounge.

The restaurant wasn't up to the same level as the grounds and the hotel. I would not eat there next time.

Typical Novotel, simple and comfortable rooms and bathrooms but in a sublime location, the park grounds of a french chateau.

    8AnnaPosted on: 8-19-2024

Beautiful surroundings, plenty to do - pool, snooker, boules, Forrest walks etc. Good food.

Would have liked a map of the forest paths so we could have gone further without fear of getting lost.

If you need to.explore Paris but have energetic children.need space between this is the place for.you.. We were there during olimpics and the pool was a real plus during the heat . Kids.loved the poney ride too.Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Ideally, you want a car to eat outside the hotel. The only restaurant is overpriced and has a restricted menu specially for.children. Rooms are also small, but we were out most of the day, so it was fine for us.

The location is great. It is 60 minutes from Paris by car but transformative. It really felt like being in the countryside. The hotel is set in a larger Domaine which hosts a number of activities. There is pool, tennis court, stables, horses, bikes and a petanque court and forest trail to name a few. The hotel also has board games and activities for kids. We came for a wedding,. The ceremony was in their large flower filled meadow in the shadow of an enormous tree. Just gorgeous. Afterwards we had cocktails on a terrace before heading into one of the little halls for dinner and dancing. We were very happy and well fed with the food. The staff was attentive in both the reception and restaurant. In the evenings they burned firewood on the terrace to keep warm. It felt nice to talk around the grounds and smell the smoky air, feeling like we were truly in the countryside.

The room smelled a little musty when arriving.

Beautiful hotel and great location for those seeking somewhere outside Paris.

The hotel lacked facilities and basic services. The entire place had only one iron, and the staff expected us to come down to the reception whenever we needed anything. There was no gym either. I wondered if I was staying in a hotel or an Airbnb due to the lack of basic services.

    Pretty setting

Staff unhelpful in the bar/restaurant. Bar closed on a Sunday evening by 8 pm; we could not get a hot or cold drink anywhere. The Restaurant insisted we purchased food in order to sell us a drink. We had already eaten in Paris so did not want, or need, to buy another meal. No other options were offered to us. We stayed in this hotel for three days, so not being able to have a drink, hot or cold, whenever we wanted was not good enough. There was a kettle in our room, but no milk and only flavoured teabags. Average Breakfast, but extortionate at 18 euros each. None of our party were able to obtain an iron, which was very annoying as we there for a wedding. Hairdryer was similar to one you get in a swimming pool, so recommend you take your own! This hotel needs improvement, definitely not four star; three star rating would be generous!Such a shame as a setting is beautiful, we were very disappointed overall.

Beautiful sightseeing, vaste forest to discover , trekking, horseriding, outside amd indoor pool

Restaurant staff very slow , impolite, especially with children. No real check area of the hotel. You check in to a high table, not easy to look after your children while doing it. Hotel staff untrained and uninformed about the facilities

Was great being in a quiet small town and the building looked amazing.

The room was outdated and a bit run down. I understand it is probably part of the decor and considering the building is quite old but still would've preferred an updated style.

    Location, friendly staff, clean room

    Refresh room interior, furniture.

    7AnaPosted on: 5-29-2024

The food at the restaurant in the evening was very nice

The breakfast could do with more variety, the property is nice but quite isolated. The rooms are ok, but very expensive for the offer
