Piccolo Hotel Lamezia

Absolutely nothing

I paid for a double bed, but I was placed in a 4-beds room initially. Fridge wasn’t working, tap water was dripping, the shower was rusty and pressure very weak. Everything was old, rickety and squeaky. I was placed in a room with a single bed, but only after the owner yelled at me. In that room, the air conditioning was controlled by owner and she won’t set the temperature you’d ask. The breakfast was comprised by packaged bakery stuff and a coffee was made for you from a machine. The owner has screamed at me multiple times when I told her of the problems in the room. Afterwards, she’d harassed me by calling me on the telephone in my hotel room, or each and every time she’d see me coming in and out of the hotel, and tried to change my mind about my valid complains by yelling at me. She’s told me to go to Grand hotel if I didn’t like it, because I should have any of the things I’ve asked for having paid “this much” to stay at her hotel. I left a night and day earlier. According to the previous negative reviews, the owner will deny the facts presented here, and will respond with lies! Avoid staying at her hotel, it’s not worth it! Even locals don’t like the owner of this hotel!

Let's be honest, the only reason to stay here is if you missed the train late at night. But given that it was a pleasant stay: quiet, clean and close to the station.

Perfect for overnight prior to flight home. Newly renovated, and extremely clean. Perfect breakfast before we went to the airport 4 minutes away. Gracious and helpful host. If you have time go to Nicasto, Vicolo 3 for dinner, 14 minute train ride.

Shower was a little small.No lift but only stairs for baggage.

Too much noise from the room above me till 11:30 at night. It sounded like they were dragging furniture.

The room was clean and nicely maintained, providing a comfortable environment during our stay.The 24-hour reception was a big plus, making our late check-in smooth and hassle-free.

The breakfast was very poor, with limited options and lacking in quality.The room price felt higher than what the accommodation actually offered in terms of value.

My stay was short and just to have a stopover between big travel days. It played it's part well as located right near the train station. Great pub about 50m down with the loveliest staff and good food as recommended by hotel staff. Breakfast in the morning was great as well. Would stay again if I needed to. Can't comment on location to touristy things in Lamezia as I wasn't there long enough to experience

Be warned there are a lot of stairs to some rooms. Not a problem if your suitcase is light though.

Only 5 min drive to the airport, staff very friendly and helpful, great value, simple yet comfortable, good Italian breakfast. Wifi only works at hallway stations, not the room

Best location, as it was across the main train and bus stations, from where you can directly reach the most beautiful villages of Calabria. Large room with a beautiful view, plenty of storage space. We had a very good night sleep, as the matress was confortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Large bathroom, very clean and tidy. Good breakfast - the warm croissants were divine. Our hosts were very nice and welcoming and made us feel at home. Thank you for your kindness, we had a perfect stay at Piccolo Hotel! We definitely highly reccommend!

The staff do not speak English and they are not helpful. They gave us the first room where there was mould in the shower but when we complained they gave us the other and better room. The bad was not comfortable, there was really bad mattress. The location is good because it is near the main train station. There was only one time the helpful man staff at breakfast.

Excellent location. 5 mins from Lamezia airport (by bus) and across the street from the main train station. Restaurant and shops nearby. The room was very comfortable. Parking in front of the door. Everyone was very nice and friendly

The hotel was a short walk from the train station, family run property that is clean, well maintained, and very nicely decorated! The neighborhood has good walking areas and restaurants.
