Clean, nice bed, great staff, nice breakfast, decent price, mozzarella gift.

Shower is horrible

Recently renovated and they were nice enough to gift a bag of mozarella to all of the guests checking out. I thought that was a nice touch. Solid fenced in parking in the back of the hotel.

Location might be challenging if you don't have a car

I checked in after 8pm and the staff was friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of free parking and the room was comfortable and modern.

I don’t really have anything negative to say, it fit my needs perfectly. It’s not especially close to Naples, or the sea, but for the price, it can’t be beat.

English:The stay at the Hotel La Mela in Varcaturo was very nice. We were allowed to check in earlier than agreed and we received a very warm welcome! The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and very helpful! The hotel manager Giovanni greeted the guests every morning for breakfast and made sure that everything was fine. We felt at home! And if there was ever a problem, they dealt with it immediately. Unfortunately, the drain in my shower was a bit blocked by toilet paper (my own fault) and my room was a bit wet. When I returned in the evening, my room looked super clean, as if nothing had ever happened. Because my father was not very good at walking and we did not have a rental car, Giovanni was also kind enough to provide us with a driver who drove us to the beach and back. We were also able to easily book a transfer to the Reggia di Caserta with the reception within a few minutes by paying the usual rates. We had to leave before breakfast time, so the reception and Giovanni were kind enough to offer us breakfast at 6 a.m. (normally only from 7 a.m.). All in all, the Hotel La Mela has a lot of heart and from what I have heard from other guests, the Hotel La Mela is better and more reliable than the surrounding hotels, which I can confirm from my own experience. If I were to travel to Varcaturo again, I would always choose the Hotel La Mela!PS: We found the Sfogliatella riccia at the airport last but not least, and they were delicious! English:There was no power outlet available right at my desk for my laptop, but I was able to use the outlet by the TV since I wasn't using it anyway, so having a long enough cable is helpful.

Great location, good breakfast, super nice and generous owner, great staff, clean.. We tried to come back later in our 14 day holiday, but it was fully booked. Hotel is simple with no luxuries, but excels in cleanliness and its staff. Definitely recommend it! And varcarturo has the best beaches

If I can make a recommendation for the hotel owner, change the CO2 alarms on the ceiling because the green light affected my fiancé's sensitive sleep

We were treated like a family. The hotel is ruled by a family. All the time, they are trying to help us to have a good stay.

Breakfast could be a little better with more variety.

Friendship of the staff, always available and willing to help. Also very flexible related to breakfast and any other requirements.Also distance walking from some really good restaurants.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful at this hotel , extremely clean room , breakfast was delicious and they gave us a free upgrade on the room aswell . Free private parking included which was a bonus for us since we were traveling by car.

Family hotel with extremely helpfull and friendly staff. Safe parking with camera surveillance. Breakfast exceeds the usual Italian breakfast standards. Newly installed bathroom.

Not really soundproof when you have noisy guests nextdoor.

The staff were very nice and polite. Very kind on entrance and exiting the hotel. The main entrance to the Hotel was very nice and clean. The owner was very kind and his young son on the reception desk was extremely nice and professional.

The hotel room smelt very strange, a little bit like fish and bleach. Was very difficult to settle in. The breakfast was also disappointing and had very very little selection, no milk or bowls for the cereal which was confusing. Also, the juices were not fresh and used from the day before which was concerning. Finally, the towels smelt of oil and not clean at all.

The hospitality of the owners was like no other! Very helpful, welcoming and wanting there guests to have the best stay possible! Optimistic & happy owners! The young man in reception spoke perfect English and was very helpful even escorted us to a restaurant he recommended!

The location was in the middle of no where and no access to the beach without a car! It is almost 40 minutes out of Naples and hardly any transport available! If we had a car it would have been much easier to get around! This statement is separate to the review of the hotel… just purely commenting on the location.

The breakfast was good and the staff were super helpful providing us with coffee and tea.

Having a lift, or flat iron would make our stay more comfortable.

The hotel facillities were good, hotel itself looks nice same as the photos. Reception was opened 24h mostly the staff was helpfull and nice eventhought they dont speak english very well they trIed to help us. The hotel itself would be great value for money if it was somewhere else. It has a nice family vibe. In the morning we got corneto and coffee as breakfast. I would say the hotel is great if you travel by car and just have to stop overnight. There was very nice guy who took us to the trainstation by car.

Definitely not recommended if you travel for vacation and you think you're gonna save some money avoiding the overpriced destinations and travel by the public transport. We struggled to get to the destination eventhough the local transport app showed us options to travel by bus. Its almost impossible to get there and out of there without car, beach is 1-2 km walk. The nearest trainstation around 3-4 km. Definitely not worth it saving some money on accommodation cause we paid for taxis anyway and were in not nice area aswell. Little minus was also the aircondition and the lights were randomly switching on and off at night :D

Booked an economy room but without knowing we were offered to stay in a Superior room for free. The staff of hotel are super helpful and the hotel is kept very clean and the room is super clean with all the comforts needed.Extremely professional, friendly, and extremely polite staff, especially Tony & Raffaele whom they were very very helpful.

I would only slightly improve breakfast.
