    Pros +

    • Property close to the beach
    • I loved the pool, the position was good for us because we had a car.
    • The pool is ok. One room was ok, the other very small. The hotel complex itself is neat and clean, I liked it. The staff is friendly.

    Cons -

    • The wifi signal was poor. Also there was a leakage in the shower that was “flooding” the bathroom.
    • We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment block and could hear snoring from next door
    • The environment

    The environment

    3KennethPosted on: 9-25-2024

The location was ideal, offering a quiet and peaceful environment. It was also conveniently situated just a ten-minute walk from the superstore. While the pool appeared inviting, unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of it due to the weather. The room met our expectations and provided a comfortable stay.

While the kitchenette is a valuable addition to the accommodation, it may benefit from including a few more essentials, such as basic utensils and cleaning supplies, to enhance its practicality. For instance, guests who wish to prepare a late-night snack or cup of tea might find the lack of basic items a bit limiting. Additionally, the TV, though appreciated, might be more comfortable to watch if it were positioned lower to avoid neck strain during longer viewing periods, especially for those looking to relax after a full day of sightseeing. Since Alkantara Village caters to international tourists, offering a wider selection of channels in different languages would make the experience more enjoyable for non-Italian-speaking guests.Lastly, while I appreciate the focus on energy conservation, having the room key connected to the power supply can be somewhat inconvenient, particularly for an apartment setting. This setup makes it difficult to maintain items in the fridge at the correct temperature when guests leave, as removing the key turns off all power. A more flexible approach, such as applying this system solely to high-energy devices like the air conditioning, would better suit an apartment and significantly enhance the guest experience.

Parking places available everywhere inside the resort, clean.

Low power light bulbs inside the rooms, Wi-Fi not available inside, old shower heads - hard to make a shower

Nice bassein area, clean and comfortable

    Very slow wifi in area

Great atmosphere. The pool area is very nice. All the staff is very nice and helpful. Beautiful views. Nice roomsBreakfast was good and with fresh ingredients

Mattresses need to be replaced asap. So uncomfortable ? and it's not very easy to get in and out of the shower.

    Location, pool, staff, cleanliness

Bathroom window does not open. Very poor WiFi if any. Food choice very limited. Air conditioning in one room only although we ordered a room for 4 there were 2 rooms. Chargers etc work only when you are in the room. No ventilation in bathroom therefore it was stinking.

Basic but clean , lovely pool area with snack bar serving good food , drinks , ice cream .. little slow on service however really nice friendly staff - great view of Etna

Everything was good about this properly l

The swimming pool was lovely, with sunbeds available most of the time. The little terrace outside our apartment was the cherry on the cake. Dinner has very limited choices, but every single thing is cooked properly and delicious. The cleaning stuff comes around everyday and changes towels. Staff was nice during breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast was delicious, but very limited. They should include a few more breakfast items. A little kettle in the apartment would be good. There is very little entertainment, maybe this could be improved.

The accommodation was basic but clean and it was a great price. Pool area was very nice and the bar served decent food and drinks. The staff were all very helpful particularly those on reception and lifeguards. Nice beach within walking distance as well as a big supermarket.

There was one air conditioning unit in the living room area of the apartment which was not particularly effective and no fans so it was like sleeping in an oven. The restaurant onsite had a very limited 3 course set menu with no kids options so we never ate in there which was a shame as we probably would have every night if there had been more choice. We struggled to find other restaurants within walking distance

Pool area and the view from the terrace, good breakfast

Towels are not regularly replaced and you are charged for any new ones....air conditioning units not available in all rooms

    Pool

You can hear everything from neighboring residents. The hotel welcomed a lot of school children, who were loud all night and occupied the pool during the day. Breakfast is poor, the same every day.

    6JessicaPosted on: 5-30-2024

The pool are was beautiful, but there were a lot of ants. The rooms are nice and roomy compared to a hotel room, but very dated with old bedding. The wifi was nice to have, but terrible, my computer wouldn't work on the wifi, just my phone.

The dated decor inside, the enormous key tag. It would have been ice to have a shuttle available to go down to the beach.

    8SuzannePosted on: 5-11-2024

The staff was very nice and helpfull. The swimmingpool area Loker very besutiful. We didn’t try it, we went to the sea. Giardini-naxos has a lot of restaurants. The matras of the beds were a bit hard. We liked that.

We would liked to have an oven in the appartement. The livingroom was tiny so we at our breakfast in the balcony. Excellent view at the Etna vulcano

    7JurianPosted on: 9-26-2023

You pay for what yoy get! Breakfast is good and nicely organized

No that it is the most important but in 2023 you expect wifi in the whole park in stead of going back to 2016 and sit down if needed at reception

    4StrozniPosted on: 8-30-2023

When I asked for real invoice I got it through the email in 2 days. And the place was very clean

We got offered from Booking as an alternative stay since our was cancelled, it costed 200 euro per night. Walls too thin, you can hear everything from the lady cleaning other apartments next door, neighbors too. Door at the entrance and terrace have poor insulation and they get so hot that they are like heating radiators. Terrace is connected with other apartments, only one metal barrier inbetween. Loud animators and music at the pool.

    5AntonPosted on: 8-3-2023

Room was clean a quit specious, bathroom to small shower tray. and need a face lift, which regards to the pool nice but the animation team was only entreating the locals. us foreigners we weren't welcome especially on communicating Language barrier.

But the worst was the Restaurant we booked a table at 20.30hrs. by 20.45 they run out of food when we told them its still early we were told that they had a lot of customers that was 45 minutes before closing we were served with 3 small portions of fish in which one of the fish was still row, when placing our complaint at the receptionist on Saturday 30/07/2023, time was 21.30 pm just after dinner he promised us that someone from a higher level of the Management will come and speak to us but nobody showed up the 3 room that we were visiting the hotel 146,147,148 we all come from hotel industries and we know what we are talking about, in one word this hotel is not made for other European countries except ItaliansAnd on of us he is a TOUR LEADER ORGANIZER .it was our first visit but a big no for us and most special to our CUSTOMERS
