Parkhotel Friedrichstrasse

Everything is clean and in good condition. The shower is spacious and pleasant with strong water pressure. The bed is clean and comfortable. The room was fresh and at a pleasant temperature at night.

The staff were very friendly. The breakfast staff got out a paper bag when she saw id prepared a filled roll. All staff were solicitous too. I thought the breakfast was wonderful too!

The bedding was basic, but adequate.

Practical location close to train station. Very clean room and bathroom. Good beds. Spacious room with fridge.Cool drinks can be purchased at the reception.

I liked the location. It was really 5 minutes away from the city train station. The room was clean and cosy.

Wi-Fi didn't work properly. No lift to the floor which makes it uncomfortable to grab the luggage up to the room.

The breakfast buffet looked quite small when we walked into the breakfast room, but upon closer inspection, they had everything one can reasonably expect, and then quite a few things more. It was really clear that the responsible person(s) are "breakfast people" themselves, and they have good taste and lots of experience. In 12 days of travelling in D and NL, staying in 5 different places, large and small, this one had the loveliest breakfast.The rest of the stay was fine, as expected from the description and photos.

close to train station. very helpful staff. excellent breakfast. prior to arrival, I advised hotel that I was coming directly from USA on overnight flight. Staff arranged an early checkin so I could sleep before my evening opera.

1. The people at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming.2. The room was clean and the free Wi-Fi was working as expected.3. Very close proximity to the train station (2-3 minutes walking) and close to the city center.

1. The bed could be a bit more comfortable and have an extra blanket.

Train noise early morning

Very close to the Hauptbahnhof and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. It was very clean and comfortable. Friendky staff.

Price is nice but sometimes better to pay more for more basic comfort. Location assessment depends on what you expect. If you need close proximity to train station then location is great - just 3 minutes walk. If you want to be closer to downtown better seek other options. This hotel is 25 minutes walk from downtown. Breakfast is OK and cheap.Staff tried to be helpful... First they checked me in the worst room in the entire hotel - 1st floor with windows facing to the street. I could hardly sleep that night due to heat and noise. For next night they moved me to another more spacious room at the 3rd floor where I could not at least hear the street noise and the inner facilities were better.

Old worn out facilities. Looks rather like a student campus. No airconditioning or fan in the rooms. When it is hot outside - like when I stayed in - it is a real issue. If you want to keep the window open at night then be prepared to hear well street noise until at least midnight and early in the morning. No noise isolation between the rooms. You clearly hear pretty much everything in the neighboring rooms - door slamming, chair moving etc. If you are a light sleeper then better seek other options. Then, in the room description on booking.com there was minibar in. Apparently it wasn`t. When I asked for it I was brought a small empty fridge hardly cooling due to heat outside. So they believe a minibar is just an empty small fridge.
