Hospitality and efficiency of staff and the quality of breakfast. Good quality fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, bread, cheese, etc. plus homemade marmalade. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean and spacious.

Becoming my temporary home, based on my best hotel selection in the radius around, my pleasure and already first great experience, very very pleasant, comfortable, clean, quiet and in a beautiful location under the mysterious castle ??

Location and service

Upgrading to a comfy double was false economy- the other rooms are just as good. All you get is an extra comfy chair and a slightly bigger room

Breakfast was excellent, staff were courteous, friendly, helpful and professional.Room was clean, warm and the shower was powerful and hot. Single Bed was not particularly comfortable, but that is because I am not used to sleeping on a single bed.The concierge was professional, and extremely helpful.I ate at a delicatessen in town, the staff were friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I also ate at an italian restaurant the same evening and the food was excellent and staff were professional and friendly, which balanced my disappointment on the evening of my arrival.The town was picturesque, and should have stayed in the town to explore the local market.

It was disappointing not to find anywhere to eat in the hotel or the town when i arrived at the hotel, and had to settle for a cup of tea until breakfast the following day.

Location was great though late at night a bit noisy with smokers just outside the reception area

During my visits in Herborn I have always booked my hotel rooms at the Schloss Hotel.Amazingly clean and comfortable facilities. Wonderful breakfast buffet!Schloss Hotel Herborn is very conveniently located close to the picturesque market square and shopping center.

The property is located near lots of shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great.

We traveled through 10 countries and this hotel was the nicest surprise of all. Price, room, incredible breakfast, sauna, downtown, on & on.

Comfortable beds and electric window shutters made for good night's sleep. Quiet location in Old Town. Staff was friendly and provided good service for a birthday party we attended in their function rooms.

Parking was a bit tight. The refrigerator was tiny, only room for mini bar drinks.

Wonderful location. The food was amazing, and the bed pillows were not good.

Didn't like the door locks on our room. You have to use the door key to get out of your room. This is very dangerous in an emergency.

Great location for local shops.

The hotel restaurants are great but many local restaurants close at 6:00pm. It is also a very good idea to make reservations.
