    Pros +

    • You are on the top of the world, the hotel stays at almost 1800m above sea level with gorgeous views of the alps
    • The location is awe-inspiring. The meals were delicious with a nice selection to choose from. We felt quite comfortable and the opportunity to explore the surroundings was readily accessible. The receptionist Aileen is an angel and went above and beyond the call of duty. If every lodging had an Aileen, the world would be a better place
    • The room was very nice, the view was spectacular, the food was very nice as was breakfast, staff were very helpful, swimming pool was nice but couldn't get the Jacuzzi to work. The young man on reception took our bags to the room, when we left he went and got our stuff and brought it to the car for us

    Cons -

    • It’s far away from Bolzano, not in distance but time because of the mountain road
    • Having to leave
    • The steps up to the front entrance,we can't walk very well so struggled with that.

The staff was kind and welcoming.•We truly appreciated the complimentary room upgrade.•The hotel location and the view were beautiful. But not for staying ?

The room was very cold and uncomfortable, which made it unsafe for our 6-month-old baby.•The food and restaurant facilities were disappointing and not suitable for us.•The sleeping arrangements were uncomfortable, and we could not rest.•Overall, the environment was not family-friendly, and we had to leave without using the rooms.

Fantastic view. Since the spa was not open we had a room upgrade to a panoramic view room.

The choice of food at breakfast was a bit scarce. What there was ,was of good quality.

View over the valley is fantastic, this also the drive to the hotel a bit tiring. But worth it!

    Facilities really old.

    8itzhakPosted on: 9-12-2024

The staff was very warm welcome with high service conscious

The facility old style and the pool was cold.

Location is amazing! All the staff were very friendly and some spoke English which was helpful. Fantastic views from the terrace and rooms. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Food was very good, excellent choice at breakfast.

    Nothing to dislike

breakfast was great! views are nice, the hotel is reaaaaly high up. we didnt use the pool, but took a look and it was great. room was confortable

We arrived late and there was not much options for dinner. the hotel is very high, after many narrow roads and far from the city, so just note it and plan to arrive early

We were given a complementary upgrade and absolutely loved the view from our room on the 2nd floor. The room balcony and windows faced the morning sun and we were treated to a breathtaking view of the Dolomites mountains. We had dinner on the terrace while soaking in the summer evening air with 2-3 other tables of guests around us, so it wasn’t too busy and not noisy at all. The hotel tried hard to retain its old glamor and project a retro image - traditional carpets, elevator and 80s built-in hairdryer - which amused us. All in all, I’d recommend the hotel for the magnificent view and warm welcome from the reception.

The hotel has lost its grandeur over the years and now feels like it’s made for a short stay only. The sauna and relaxing area in the hotel’s basement gave the impression of being a facility for tired hikers and bikers to rest and relax, instead of being a spa hotel. Regardless, it is still value-for-money and the views are unmatched.

This place is perfect for motorcycles, it works as the best HUB for riding through all of the Italian alps. As a biker, you will appreciate the tranquility and quiet surroundings after a hard day on the noisy bike. The water in the shower has a proper pressure. The surroundings and the view is extremely stunning. You live on 1726 m! It's just awesome. The breakfast is very good, eggs, fruit, fresh bread, croissants, juices etc. The coffee is perfect. The personell was very accommodating and helpful. We felt extremely welcome and were treated very well.If you want to avoid the tourist-Hell and actually enjoy your holidays, this is for you.

Without exception, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The cliff-top location of this hotel gives views that need to be seen to be believed. Relax with a coffee or a drink from the bar and then enjoy a good meal in the restaurant.

    Spectacular view. Indoor pool

Rooms were not heated during the day. Breakfast was not up to the standard of other hotels we stayed at . Dinner quality was good but options limited and high priced. Overall overpriced.

    8KevinPosted on: 9-28-2023

Best thing about this hotel is the location and the stunning views. Half board was great value for money and waiters were very attentive. Breakfast outside on the terrace with views from 1700m is a real bonus. Professional reception staff.

Rooms are a bit tired and in need of an update. Balconies could be a little more open to make the most of the views when sitting and our balcony floor seemed a bit unstable.

    8RandolphPosted on: 7-28-2023

The hotel is a nice accomodation with a marvelous view. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Pillows are tin and soft. Breakfast could have been more choicy. The long winding road to arrive to the hotel (although to be fair its a price to pay in order to have the view)

    9KseniaPosted on: 10-30-2022

The hotel is known for its spectacular view of the mountains and terrains. Unfortunately, it was rather cloudy when we were there, but at those moments when the clouds were moving we were able to see the distance to the bottom of the mountain we were at :) Those travelling in a good weather conditions will have their breakfasts with a breathtaking views! The location of the hotel is convenient if you travel on your car or motorcycle — it stands on its own mountain peak and has its own road to it, therefore there is no public transportation available. If you have your own vehicle and you are in for the view — great, if you travel on feet — might be a bit tricky. The room was nice and clean, very quite, a little too small maybe if you are travelling with large suitcases, but cozy and warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful, helped us find glasses we accidentally left in the restaurant. There is plenty of parking space available in front of the entrance.

    great viewskind and helpful staff

pretty pricey dinnerwe asked for 2 glasses of wine at the bar but were charged the whole bottle

    6ZoltánPosted on: 8-27-2022

The location and the view. :)

The room, it is too cold. there are no air conditioning and there are too old iron heaters

    7KopciaPosted on: 10-3-2021

Old fashioned hotel. Still convenient, there is everything you need. The location makes up for any disadvantages. Beautiful view, it is worth getting up earlier to see the sunrise. A great place when hiking in the mountains.

The staff mainly speaks German and Italian. There is no English version of menu.

    9EmilPosted on: 9-29-2021

By far the best part of this hotel is the view from the top of the mountain. The hotel also had a nice breakfast and patio to enjoy the views. We'll definitely come back and stay here again.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it felt old and worn out. The hotel is definitely in need of some repairs and updates. Our room was comfortable and clean but the carpets on the terrace and inside our room had holes all over.
