Excellent breakfast -- a wide selection of food to choose from. Best breakfast of any hotel I have stayed at. Nice eating area. Staff was so welcoming. I was tired and thirsty when I arrived and the staff gave me a cold bottle of water and I felt appreciated as a guest right away.

Maybe add some phone charging ports for USBs.

Spacious rooms, best location, possibility to book sauna, excellent breakfast!

Terrible pillows, terrible beds, not so clean and charged too much for an extra bed.

Great breakfast until 11:30 and Late Check out on Sunday made it very stressfree Location is very convenient (right across the elevator to Oberstadt)

Location was very good with the elevator to the upper city directly across the street. Underground parking with a small discount located directly under the hotel. Breakfast was fine with some hot food options. Room was spacious.

Staff wasn't overly friendly. Pretty expensive for 1 person for 1 night with breakfast. Plus 20 eur for my small dog. Not that great of a hotel for the price

Bad experience

We paid so much money to get a room suitable for family from 3 persons but they gave us a very small room with only 2 small beds my daughter slept on the floor there wasn’t even a couch .The second day we panicked as there was a fire in the hotel and 4 fire trucks came we all hurried to the street and this affected my little daughter negatively

Welcome Hotel Marburg is perfectly located. We loved the breakfast options and restaurant space. The staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful.

We had two rooms for our family and stayed three nights. Both rooms remained very stuffy and hot during our stay, making it difficult to sleep.

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast.

Liked everything

Lovely large deluxe room at the quieter back of the hotel. We had to ask to be moved from our original room overlooking the noisy main street at the front of the hotel. Good secure bike storage in a locked cage under the hotel, accessible from the car garage. Bike repair tools available.Good varied breakfast buffet.Reception staff helpful, but not always friendly. English spoken by all staff.Carpet and seating area in room made it very comfortable. Bed and bedding comfortable. Dressing gown, small refrigerator and coffee machine in room.

Small shower cubicle, barely big enough for one person.No kettle in room.No safe in room.Room was hot on arrival and air conditioning did not cool it down, but opening the windows worked well, except when people smoked cigarettes on the patio below our windows.

Location

The smallest shower I've ever tried to use (and the door wouldn't close), dying plants on the landings, very limited and poor quality breakfast (with literally rotting grapes put out!).

I am a frequent traveler There is often a bad smell in the late evening from the drains that you can experience at reception

The staff at the Restaurant, And Reception was helpfully.Locations alone not helpful if we must pay 20 € for 1 day parking. And there from Room we can’t use intercom to ask room service or anything else for missing stuff in the bathroom etc.

The prices are very high for this location ! And they need properly professional staff for rooms services…. And they also need professional supervision who can check the cleanliness and bathrooms etc after finishing up.

The location is good and central; friendly staff, good breakfast

The room towards the street are noise doe to party folks queuing in front of the lift to the old city.While the rooms are clean some refurbishment (bath tubs) is due.

Fantastic location just a few steps away from the lift to the old town.

Extremely expensive for what it is, twice as much as we paid elsewhere in Germany for a similar level of accommodation. Poor hot food selection at breakfast if you are on a plant-based diet - just baked beans! Could hear all the noise from the street below in our room, a lot of drunken shouting into the early hours at the weekend.

The jr suite was very spacious with great functionality. Location very close to the alt stadt, staff very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Friendly staff. Convenient paid parking under hotel. Quiet. Good size room. Close to all the Marburg highlights.

Power cut out in our room shortly after we arrived. Minor inconvenience as staff quickly abd smoothly shifted us to another room.

Cleanliness of room and breakfast.I liked that the receptionist without being asked, apologised to me when I left the hotel, for the way her colleague had upset me on my arrival at the hotel, I appreciated her thought.
