Pros +
- such a great location in the Piedmonte region. We had many wine tastings all over the region and nothing was too far away. One day we just relaxed on the property and enjoyed the amenities and it was wonderful!
- Five star luxury and service in a beautiful countryside setting. Staff were so attentive and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and took care of every need.
- The hotel is located on top of a beautiful hill of green luscious vineyard in the town of Serralunga 'dAlba. The view is scenic and breathtaking. The hotel is well maintained with the most dedicated staff I have seen. My wife and I went for a hike around the area but the ground was wet and muddy. Our shoes were covered in mud upon our return. We asked the staff where to wash our shoes and a kind staff brought us to the basement toilet. As I needed to go back to my room to bathe, I left my dirty shoes in this basement toilet. But when I returned after showering, this staff was already in the process of washing our dirty shoes for us! It was unbelievable and pleasantly surprised by her act of kindness. Thank you, Eleanora. We will not forget your kindness. Another staff who had helped us with our booking for another room for my son was Eleanor. Booking.com made a mess of our booking but she helped to resolve it. That really helped us out tremendously. A great hotel with great staff all round!
Cons -
- The hotel was perfect, the village below, with its other hotel, restaurant and shop was a bit too much of a marketing place, mostly for tourists with overpriced average quality food and not great care for quality.
- The room (suite number 8) had a serious pest issue with an infestation of Asian bedbugs (cimici asiatiche). Over the course of our three-day stay, I killed more than 80 of them. Although the reception staff were aware of this ongoing issue and even had an ozone machine to address it, it didn’t make any significant difference. The wooden ceiling seemed to be the source of the problem, and while the hotel mentioned its eco-friendly nature as a reason for limited intervention, that made the situation unacceptable, as we made repeatedly clear. Also, bed was very uncomfortable. It lacked firmness, causing my husband and me to sink into the middle, leading to considerable discomfort and back pain by the end of our stay. When paying a premium price, a comfortable, high-quality bed should be a given, but unfortunately, that was not the case here.We also ordered an extra bed for our son to sleep on the same level as us, rather than upstairs, and were charged 80 euros per night for it—an unexpected and excessive rate.Lastly, the breakfast selection was underwhelming. There was no fruit available, just a limited assortment of croissants, muffins, cookies, and cereals. While the menu did offer items such as crepes, omelettes, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs, the choices were basic and lacked variety.
- The spa facilities were not working while we were there.

The property was beautiful, modern, and clean.
The spa facilities were not working while we were there.
Superb location in the Bartolommeo, wonderful and interesting property. Spectacular restaurants, with Guido Ristorante being an absolute must
The hotel is beautifully situated, the rooms, as well as the bathroom, wellness, and fitness facilities are very nice.
However, I found the breakfast to generally lack variety and the staff were not very friendly.
Location is amazing, facilities were superbly furnished, spa is top-notch.
Not a proper good value for money (a bit too expensive)
Beautiful property, I chose it at the last minute, it was a fantastic surprise. From the location to the superb spa and the kind service.
The entire staff was amazing. The rooms are beautiful. We had horrible weather the entire time on the property but, despite that, they made the stay as enjoyable as humanly possible.
Nothing. Pure perfection.
Amazing property and great services.
