Pros +
- The staff was upbeat, happy, and severely helpful!
- It felt clean, safe and comfortable. Huge fan of the staff. They were so lovely and helpful (probably the nicest I have come across in South America so far). Would definitely recommend.
- The staff is exceptional. Super friendly and super helpful. The location is excellent, providing quick access by foot to local attractions and good restaurants. The common areas make it easy to meet other travelers. As a hostel, it attracts an array of interesting people from around the world.
Cons -
- My one complaint is that smoking is allowed in the small outdoor space. As someone who reacts severely to cigarette smoke, I twice had to get up and go inside. Unfortunately, because it’s walled in, the smoke drifts into the other common area as well. At this stage in history, few people smoke, it’s widely understood that a small minority of smokers can create an unpleasant environment for the overwhelming majority, and nonsmoking is the rule in most facilities. It should be instituted here.
- Not enough hot water for showering. Not the cleanest.
- The only issue we had was that there was no noise insulation, we could hear everything happening outside so if you want to have an early night, this may not be the most ideal place :)

Good location.

The Hostal is in a very central location, perfect to get to visit Santiago.Staff is friendly, and they also organize events every other night to engage with travelers and guests which made our stay even more pleasant. The rooms are quite clean as well.
The only issue we had was that there was no noise insulation, we could hear everything happening outside so if you want to have an early night, this may not be the most ideal place :)
Great location near a metro station, 24h reception, friendly staff, fully equipped kitchen, nice common rooms, good breakfast, clean room, great price for a private room with bathroom and breakfast included.
I would avoid staying in room #2 as it is right next to the common area and reception so it can be very noisy. The mattress in that room was not comfortable as it was sinking in the middle (we stayed in another room on another occasion and we did not experience this problem with the mattress). Ventilator in that room is also very noisy!
Great location and an excellent team. The hostel is well situated, clean, and comfortable, but what really stands out is the staff, which was friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. I had a very good stay and would definitely recommend it.
The staff here is the BEST! - Guillermo is so kind, friendly, and helpful! And thank you, Angie, for helping me with setting up my SIM card. The location is excellent - near lots of good restaurants and cafes. You can also walk to most of the main attractions in Santiago. There's a Banco Estado around the corner (it closes at 2:00 PM) and there are several metro stops within walking distance. The kitchen is probably one of the best hostel kitchen I've used in Latin America (from Mexico to Chile). It's clean, well-stocked with quality pots and pans and dishes (cups, plates, bowls, utensils), well-labeled, and a pleasant place to cook. The fridge smells clean and it's not full of old food.On the second floor there's a room with lots of comfy sofas to hang out in and relax. The hostel is pretty quiet but also social. In the evening they offer a free Chilean drink (pisco sour) to guests.
The bathrooms can get kind of dirty and smelly - perhaps some air fresheners would help.
Staff was wonderful. Very accommodating and responsive. We only stayed there in the morning after we arrived from the airport in the am. So we didn’t spend the night. They offered free breakfast which was very kind. The place has a young vibe.
Nice stay in an excellent location. Walking distance to the city center as well as Bellavista. The neighborhood itself felt very safe with many cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and they served a good breakfast each morning. I also liked the fact that they had several different communal areas on the two floors, including a very nice and spacious one on the second floor.
The shared kitchen was perhaps too small for the number of guests. I suggest a second stove.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The showers mostly had warm water. It's a very classic social hostel and the people were awesome :) I especially enjoyed the small spontaneous guitar jam sessions in the common area!
I loved three upstairs rooms mich better than three downstairs rooms which were dirty. ( I stayed in bath). I liked the tours available through the hostel and some of the staff were great. It was also a very social hostel.
The dirty room downstairs; attitudes of dinner if three staff
Nice place to stay in Santiago, I loved the breakfast, so tasty and variety. Also they helped me to change of room because of of the guests was snoring very loud
Everything ok!
Staff was super nice. Clean, orderly. Great location near Bellas Artes and Korean town.
Todo bien
Staff was super nice. Great location, safe, orderly and clean.
My room was right next to the patio. In the patio you could smoke and unfortunately the smoke entered my room even with the window closed. If someone were to have asthma this would be terrible :/
This is a great hostel well located within Santiago, within walking distance of Bella Vista and many restaurants and bars. The hotel is clean, staff are very friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and very filling.
The shower temperature was a bit temperamental - it was sometimes difficult to get hot water, or once there was hot water the temperature couldn't be controlled easily.
The location was great
Old building, super small rooms, no comfortable bed, almost imposible to have hot water in the bathroom near the room 13, super cold inside the room.
It is pretty close to Lastarria nd Cerro Santa Lucia which it is a pretty nice area. I liked that everything was clean and breakfast was buffet style. Also they have 24hrs reception and luggage storage.
-Very good location-You can meet great people around the world -Good breakfast -Great staff who prepare cocktails for a tip and gives good recommendations what to do around the city
-it can be a bit noisy in the morning, because people start getting up since 6 in the morning -all the shared bathrooms are often occupied
I really liked the hostel. Great ambiance and good staff. The breakfast is ok and it has a good location!
