Excellent location, Thai food restaurant was especially good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was very small. However, you only needs somewhere to sleep and the weather was great so very little time spent in room.

Beds were comfortable & clean

Bathroom drainage very bad. Dark & dingy musty smelling room. Very noisy from kitchen next door. Very bad value for money.

We wanted to experience what a hostel was like. You can walk to the beach, which was great.

It was an unfamiliar lodging type for us.

Close to the beach and town

It was overpriced and dirty. Beds were so uncomfortable. Lucky we bought our own bedding as we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on the sheets and pillows provided. Shower ran constantly and flooded bathroom, they were doing renovations and were very noisy early every morning. Management were rude and treated me like a child at school. I booked a private room for 2 adults and a child and was told my partner could not stay there with us. Was also told on arrival I could have drinks and chill in the common area only to be told to get out and lectured about it the next afternoon. It’s a backpackers. Come on. Also questioned on who my daughter was and has she paid to stay at the accommodation. She is 12. Never will I spend $140 a night to stay here again.

Nice atmosphere

The mattress was horrible, I felt all the bed springs. And the blanket smells very very bad.

It was a nice place to stay, it was quiet and the people there are very nice. The only thing was the beds are very unstable so even lifting my hand would move the bed and they were also very low, i switched from top to bottom bunk when i could and it was much better but i hit my head quite a few times? other than that it was great and clean, maybe a bit old but clean and functional?

Amazing location only 300m from the beach. Lovely and informative staff.Perfect place for a rest from travelling.

I had arrived by the greyhound bus late in the evening and just in case you are the same please be aware that the street lights are non existent on the way to the hostel so make sure you have a torch with you or charged phone for the same reason .

Well run and well appointed place with huge outdoor kitchen and great mattresses in rooms.

Really friendly atmosphere, I think it was the owner who come and spoke to us after we checked in and provided us with some recommendations on where to visit, he was really nice. We had just come from Nomads hostel and Beachside 1770 was much better!!

There was a melted sweet near the bed on the floor from a previous guest which hadn’t been cleaned, not the end of the world however. Everything else was clean.

Clean, quiet, good atmosphere, free breakfast, you can also rent a board! What else ? It’s amazing I highly recommend!

Located short bush walk to beautiful beach. The coffee van out front, met some locals. Manager super nice and informative. Cold fridge, big kitchen and sitting space. Decor is thoughtful and beach vibe. Dbl Room is tiny - big bathroom with good fanlight.

Old double bed was uncomfortably firm for me. Needs more power outlets.I would prefer more kitchen signs paper towels and black marker for naming my stuff. But I'm a fussy oldie...

Small but comfortable and clean rooms. Hostel was quiet and has all the facilities you need. Did a surf lesson at a place down the road was allot of fun.

Staff not helpfull in cancelling booking. Did not receive refund.

Hotel uses Booking.com which have no customer service and would not allow us to cancel our booking where booking.com had booked a room with not enough beds for our family. Lost money.

Great accommodation in a convenient location. We could walk to the beach and also into town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee van out the front was excellent.

There is nothing we didn't like.
