Bay Motel Hotel

It's proximity to the beach (5 minutes) & short 15 minute walk to Glenelg Beach was excellent. In a beautiful area, a supermarket across the road and a large Foodlands supermarket a short 5 minute walk away. Our interaction with the staff was excellent.

It is an older establishment so the facilities were very dated.

The property is old & nothing special but it’s clean & tidy & comfortable. The location is great if you want to be at the beach and there’s plenty of options to eat & drink but everything we wanted to do was in the city & with the tram out of action it meant lots of Uber or bus rides & a fair bit of walking. Nice old motel nothing special but half the price of the real nice ones

Not a lot to not like. The property has everything you need to sleep & wash. The staff were friendly and helpful so what didn’t I like nothing

Stayed 3 nights over new year, location fantastic, walk to beach,. Accommodation very clean, comfortable bed, it is dated, good value for money. Staff very nice. Good pub across the road with a good beer garden at the back, nice food. And good atmosphere. Would stay again.

Quiet location, good beds

Bathroom was small and could use a deep clean. Older decor but good for a budget stay, though a bit over priced for what it was

Close to the venue we were going too, walking distance.

The outside light was on all night plus the pillows were very flat.

Rundown facilities, uncomfortable beds and not the cleanest of rooms

The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. Parking was wonderful, right outside the door to our room. The staff member on check in was really nice and polite.

The shower is quite old and trying to get the correct temperature is time consuming.

Love it and stay here whenever we are down that way, close to food and beer

Shower pressure was terrible, hot water just trickled out and made for a not enjoyable experience.Basin water pressure was fine so my bet is they have water savers fitted.We had other guests with us and they had the same issue with their shower

Breakfast was not available nor dinner as they had closed the kitchen Going by website it looked as though we could access them

Great location and room is cleaned daily.

NA. Facilities are dated but this is fine given how close you are to the beach, cafes etc

Location was convenient

The bedding was dirty & stained. The mattress underlay was filthy and the bed valance has a stain resembling vomit or faeces on it. The bathroom walls & ceiling have Mold and the floor is dirty. The carpet is dirty & stained and the powerboard has exposed wires.

Very good location - easy walk to the beach and reasonably easy to Jetty Road and tram. Plenty of dining options close by.

Location was good.

The room and bathroom needed to be cleaned properly. We had to wash the coffee cups on arrival as they had not been cleaned from the previous occupants.

Pretty good room, was clean and neat good value for money

Water pressure for shower was non existent and there were no forks with the cutlery, couldn’t even have proper showers as the water pressure was pretty much nothing, the sink had better pressure

The area is nice. Short walk to a lovely beach and good coffee

Great location to nearby attractions. Walking distance to the beach and Glenelg center. Easy to get to when driving and coming in on the highway.
