    Pros +

    • Good location
    • Beautiful building, great location, nice hotel!Staff at check-in was friendly and worked fast.Big room, big bathroom, really nice shower and sink, cosmetics, fan, bathrobes, slippers, kettle, coffee, tea etc. Good beds, matrace and pillows.Excellent value for money! We also highly recommend the associated (?) restaurant, Vielharmonie.
    • Check-in staff was kind, room was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was fine, nothing extravagant but the coffee was good. Location is close to the main station and easy enough to navigate, with decent options for dinner nearby.

    Cons -

    • My room on the third floor was extremely small with low ceilings, and very warm. The bed was very firm and pillows were extra small (not standard size) and uncomfortable. The shower and sink were so small, also with some mould growing in the corners. There was hardly any toilet paper either - I had to use tissues. The air conditioner made vibration noises all night even when the power was off. I complained around midnight and the staff person said there was nothing he could do. With the windows open, street noise was very loud. For breakfast I had requested non-dairy yogurt available, but there was none so I had nothing available to eat for breakfast. Additionally, the coffee was terrible.
    • The quantity of emails I received prior to and after my stay has been unbelievable. I will actually refuse to stay at this hotel again because of this. I was receiving up to 5 emails in a single day, including reminders to submit a questionnaire before checking-in, reminders that my trip was coming up (thank you, I gathered that from the previous 7 emails!), reminders to rate my stay. I spoke with check-in asking to be removed from the mailing list, they assured me they'd try and that management is aware of this but are not changing it. I find this kind of behavior to be deeply unprofessional and has fully put me off ever considering Frühling Hotel for future stays. Additionally, the deadbolt lock on my door didn't feel super secure and would seemingly unlock just by jiggling the handle. The top of my door also didn't meet the doorframe, creating a small 1-2cm gap at the top making hallway noise very loud in the room.
    • Hotel do not have own parking; big public parking house is on the same street. The problem was that parking house was really full on 2nd day .... parking on the streets is restricted (locals only).

The hotel is in an excellent location in Braunschweig, close to all of the shops, restaurants etc. The Frühlings Hotel staff could not have been more helpful. I, my wife and Border Collie Penny were very well looked after during our 5 night stay. I would highly recommend.

I reached the hotel via tram number 5 from the central station (direction Broitzem) and a short walk. The hotel is very well located in the centre of town. I had booked a single room and got a very spacious double room with two beds. The steps from outside into the hotel were quite high for someone like me who cannot walk stairs well - but I managed as there was a railing. The access to the second floor was then by elevator - very convenient. The gentleman at the reception was very efficient and friendly over several days - he also offered me a map of the city. The bathroom was clean, but it was a bit difficult to step up into the shower. There were shampoo and soap in big bottles at the basin. Heating in the room was needed - and it worked pretty fast. The light on the bedside table was good for reading - there also were sockets for loading the phone. The bed was very comfortable - not too hard and not too soft - with good elasticity. In fact it was very good for my back. There was a little packet of gummy bears on the bed the first day - together with a bathrobe; - a nice gesture. There were a water kettle, cups, tea bags and instant coffee on the desk - every day the tea/coffee bags were newly put. Cleaning was prompt - even while I was for breakfast. There was a wide variety of salty and sweet food for breakfast. The coffee machine worked well despite many people using it. Staff was prompt in cleaning the tables before new guests arrived for breakfast.

My room was very close to those rooms of a group of foreign tourists who were pretty loud - also at night. I did not understand if they were tourists or if they lived in the hotel for longer. They tended to occupy the best seats for breakfast over an extended period of time and interacted very loudly with each other - also long after they had finished having breakfast. It became a real problem on Saturday when the number of breakfast guests was high and guests had to sit in another room which was basically a foyer close to the reception.

Nice location, good value, clean and friendly. Some rooms are remodeled, some could use a face lift.

Some rooms were old and visibly worn.

Good location near the centre. The restaurant was very lively with good food if a little pricey. The staff cooked me scrambled eggs as the normal eggs were contaminated with chives which I am allergic to.

The public parking opposite was very tight as could be seen by the numerous paint marks on the walls of the curves at each ramp.Choice for breakfast on the Monday morning was limited due to fewer guests.

Whenever we travel through Germany and need a sleep-over, we prefer to book a room in Frühlings-Hotel.We love the centralized location in the city itself, the kind staff and a perfect breakfast!

The proximity to reach everything around the city was very good. Breakfast spread could have been made moree pleasing. The room was neat and clean.

There were some issues in the bathroom fittings.

Great location, everything in the city center was walking distance. Inner courtyard available to lock up the bikes. Nice, helpful staff

Nice hotel in the middle of the town. Kind staff. Great view from the top floor.

The access to the top floor is without elevator.

Would be good to have a nespresso coffee machine in the room

Dripping noises from heating at night.Mold in the bathroom. Slopy bed and uncomfortable pillows.Outdated room with carpet

The continental breakfast is good, with a good choice of meat, cheese, and bread. The room is quiet and comfortable. The location is convenient, as the hotel is located in the city centre, close to the railway station and to a big park with long pedestrian/bike lanes.

    8LeonidPosted on: 1-1-2024

The hotel is not new and a bit old-fashioned. Location is close to the city center.

    10RafaelPosted on: 12-11-2023

We stay here at least 4-5 times a year while travelling via Germany, and we already know some of the staff, which is always very kind and helpful. We do value the personal touch of the staff, but also the location is great, just in the center. We are also satisfied with the facilities, the rooms and the breakfast. This time we needed to leave a bit earlier than the breakfast opened, and they still allowed us to grab coffee and get some sandwiches for the way, thank you very much!

The parking got a bit more expensive. In the past they had an agreement with the private parking close by, but that changed and now it's 19 EUR per day (they changed the system in the private parking). Apart from that, I think I probably missed it but the accessibility of the main entrance doesn't have any ramp, we normally carry our child stroller, which it's not a big issue, but probably there's another entrance to the hotel but more accessible, I need to ask.

Great breakfast provided. Room was comfortably with tons of space. Generally a nice part of Braunschweig with easy access to trams and busses.

An excellent Hotel with a fantastic breakfast and freindly staff. I was here many times before, and always enjoy it.
