Steigenberger Parkhotel Braunschweig

We did not have breakfast there as a friend in town brought us to his home for breakfast

The room was hot and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Well, I moved the buttons and knobs but did not get cooler air. My comforter was soaked in the morning but the bed was very comfortable and I was so tired that I slept through the night.

We really appreciated the hotel's fabulous and peaceful location next to gorgeous park.It's absolutely quiet at night, no street noise and the rooms are really soundproof.Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was great with lots of choices also for vegetarians. Staff at the reception was very polite and helpful. We would definately stay again.

The only weak point was our dinner in the hotel's restaurant - food is really expensive , low quality and very poorly presented. Quite an unpleasant experience .

Room was modern and clean, bed was comfortable and large. Bathroom was amazing with a modern shower that had both a head and rainfall.

Very comfortable hotel close to a lovely park that we all walked through a couple of times and really enjoyed the time we had there.

The hotel and the restaurant are calm and quiet, very nice ambiance. The whole hotel is very clean.Room was modern , with confortable bed, air conditioning and nice bathroom.The breakfast is impressive : there was a large choice of food, very good quality and tasty!Service was friendly and very efficient.I recommend this hotel.

Good variety of cold and hot food items on the buffet. Very pleasant staff!Nice rooms with large windows (which can be opened!) offering a good view of the surrounding park

Breakfast was exceptional offering many breads and foods and a chef to prepare additional requests such as made to order eggs etc. Really really enjoyed the breakfast and my room especially the heated bathroom floor!

Breakfast was very good with lots of options for fruits, bread, yogurt and an omelet bar. The room and bathroom, well cleaned and the staff was really helpful. Fitness center is good.

In the website it says that they have a ladies only sauna and they dont. It made a difference for me when I was choosing where to stay that they had this option. If they dont anymore they should correct that both at booking.com and their website.

- Parking is €24 per night - very expensive! - Double room is 2 singles pushed together and when asking for one duvet, hotel staff said this was not possible nor something they offered. 2 single beds often result in a split in the beds and not comfortable. - Staff do not answer/ slow to answer the room telephones.

Room for 269 euro with no kettle- yes …Parking rate…parking tickets do not match….smoking place in front of 4 star hotel .. constantly makes smoke go up…1/3 alkohol selection compering to menu…

we will go back next year.

yo do see the age in the rooms. Head rest was quite damaged once the pillows were taken away to sleep.But nothing that would detract from a quiet, peaceful stay. we needed that after 6-7h trip.

The location and rooms were nice.

There were deficiencies in the room, slippers, toothpaste and when the room is cleaned, they do not take the rubbish in the room, they do not renew the water in the room.

Property is situated next to a river and a lake. Beautiful views. The rooms are large and beautiful.

No usb charging in built-in the bedside table and only Type F sockets in the room.

Breakfast is great, room is clean and parking is convenient.

The room was supernice and clean. The bathroom was superfresh. The staff was also lovely.

No one mentioned the AirCon did not work - this was a main reason for my booking of the hotel...as the days were very hot.

The bed was comfortable, the shower excellent. The location in the park was idyllic, but close to the centre.

Good location but need a car. Adjacent parking deck available for a fee. Next to a park but walking path covered in goose droppings.

Lots of street closures in the area meant we spent a lot of time going in circles
