Hotel Detmolder Hof

I had a great room overlooking the old town city center. The rooms were very large with ample space. The bathrooms had showers and a tub. The heated floor was a nice touch. The rooms felt like apartments. It was a great value for what we paid.

It wasn't the easiest for dropping off passengers and luggage.

Very centrally located, very friendly staff. A very tastefully decorated hotel with very nice, large rooms, big bathroom (had both a bathtub and a shower) and very courteous staff.I'd love to come back.

We liked the room, it was very nice. We slept very good in the bed, the bathroom was clean, all was there what was needed. The location is directly in the centre of Detmold. The instructions how to arrive after 15.00 was very clear, the staff friendly in explaining how to enter the hotel when the reception was closed.

The room was fantastic every thing you need was there, Also a mini fridge which was well stocked and refilled everyday.The bed was one of the best have a great sleep every night.Thanks will be back.

Nice old *HOF* Centralt in City. Very nice rooms vith very helpfull staff.

There was nothing that my life and I didn't like.

The room (1) we had was very comfortable, very tidy and extremely well decorated. The Bathroom was excellent. It has a lovely bath and separate shower that is outstanding with shower controls recessed in tiles on the wall. Plenty of storage space for belongings etc. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There was nothing to really dislike at all at this hotel.

Nothing really. It was a bit noisy outside from just after 7 in the morning. But that was due to pedestrian walkway improvements being carried out in the town centre during the working week. There was not much the hotel could do about that though.

The bar opposite as playing very loud music and we could not sleep. No staff available to ask questions. Called reception in the evening. No response.

Very comfortable place to stay in the center of Detmold with high cuisine restaurant.

The location. The great breakfast. The nice staff. The large comfortable rooms. Great shower facilities.

It’s perfect

Very characterful small hotel with a historic and individual feel. Large room and very large bathroom (huge bathtub). Staff were pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was OK, although nothing hot was available. Centrally located.

I parked out of the town centre but parking close to the hotel might be tricky. It's an old building. I didn't have need to look for air conditioning or heating but this may not be to the same standard as a modern chain hotel.

Street noise early morning

We once again had a wonderful stay at Detmolder Hof. The staff is first rate, and we enjoyed the fabulous breakfasts during our stay. We will be back!

I loved the interior decor. Room was very spacious and had lots of storage space. Free Nespresso coffee and water were a great bonus.

Lack of proper AC, no toothpaste and key tags are way too large and too heavy.

The price!!!! We had Room One directly above the Reception and to be honest I can describe it as an Apartment. We were only staying one night but did so in luxury. A massive bathroom with separate bath and shower room. The in room coffee machine was a nice bonus.

I didn't have a chance to use the bath and if I was being really picky, there wasn't a hot breakfast option.

The breakfast on Saturday starting at 08:00 was too late for me, so couldn't get one :-(

I didn't like that I received a different room than the one I booked on Booking. They say that the pictures are just for the shape, but that doesn't seem normal to me. When I book a room, what matters most is how it looks, not how many square meters it has

Prime location in the city centre. Rooms display old charme & comfort. The size of the room, including the bathroom with floor heating, was excellent. Friendly & helpful staff. It’s just a great place to stay.

The hotel also hosts one of the best restaurants in town. How you can choose to close it over Easter, just because Sundays & Mondays are your standard closing days,remains a mystery to me. When you arrive on a Sunday later than than 3 pm, the reception is no longer staffed. You retrieve your key from a safety box,and you can only meet the friendly staff the following morning. The television standing on a tripod in front of the bed takes some getting used to. The hotel should invest in better quality bread and roles. A designated parking would be of added value.
