Hampshire Hotel - 's Gravenhof Zutphen

room was small but good, clean with comfy beds; breakfast was good; staff helpful. Location excellent. Beautiful building. Quiet during night time.

Receptionists both not too well trained.

Staff and food were excellent!! Although we were upgraded to a suite the entrance to the room was not handicap friendly.

IA regular room would have been better for a person with a rollator like me: the entrance ramp was way too steep. Otherwise the hotel was great!

Location across the main church. Think it's good for business events. Room modern. Nice towels.

Had ground-floor level single room nr 42. Stayed 2 nights. Each morning before 08.30 a truck would park to deliver goods? One of them stood there for over 20 minutes running the engine. Also a lot of strange noises through the night. Machines or plumbing? Hall is very badly sound isolated.

Loved the breakfast and the choices. The location of the hotel was a bit far from train station but manageable. The elevator in the hotel was helpful. The room was small but nicely appointed. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous like an estate.

The staff could have been more friendly. We asked for suggestions in the town and she shrugged. It was a patron at the small bar who gave her suggestions to tell us. Not sure if this was a training issue or?The room had an off putting smell. Sort of like sewage. Not sure if this is an old building smell or somewhat of a blockage.

The size of the hotel and location were great.

The breakfast was not very good value for morning, however the hotel is great and I would stay there again!

ExCellent location in the centre of Zutphen, still relatively quiet. Very friendly staff. Spacious room with comfortable bed and bathroom. Nespresso machine available. Good quality breakfast. Parking day card available for adjacent public parking.

The TV channel collection was limited. Contact noises from the rooms above were too loud.

Super location and lovely facilities.

No WiFi reception in the far rooms, even though they are more expensive than other rooms. And they aren’t set up for English speakers, with both emails and release forms not in English.

I realise that you had reception under refurb, but it would be lovely to be able to sit and have a coffee or drink without having to go outside and to the restaurant.. hopefully this will change with the new refurb.

Breakfast room a bit small and poor layout so awkward to get coffee and access the dishes. Windows in breakfast room cannot be opened and so gets quite hot.

Lack of fresh air, small window with a view into the wall, we had to keep air conditioner on all the time .

The front of the hotel is in a historic building in the heart of this fascinating town. Behind the old building is located the the more modern part of the hotel. The staff at reception were very helpful and considerate. Our room in the modern part was spacious and usefully furnished with good wifi enabling full use of the desk. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was quiet. We also liked the two easy chairs. The shower was compact, but a walk in wardrobe and easy to use safe were provided.There was a good choice at breakfast, especially liked the fruit bread. The hotel's central location meant we were able to walk readily around the town and by use of the trains explore further afield.

Monday is a very quiet day in Zutphen, everything either opens later or is closed

Location as Zutphen is a very attractive old Dutch Hansa port

Good breakfast variety. Central location. Very helpful desk staff when we had a problem with car.

Some notices only in Dutch which we do not know. Can speak French and German like many from UK but few learn Dutch

The hotel is located in the city, yet I could enjoy the tranquility and the breakfast was fulfilling. I love that they also gave free coffee & tea so I could drink it in my room. I arrived a little late that night, but they were still kind enough to open the door for me :) The hotel is within walking distance of the train station.If I had to choose a hotel in Zutphen, I would definitely choose the Hampshire Hotel - 's Gravenhof Zutphen again.

There is nothing that I did not like :)

Curtains in the room did not close and had holes !! Very small room for a solo traveler No parking space dedicated for hotel guests

Beautiful location. The hotel is situated right in the Center of Zutphen in an old building.

Beware that most of the room are in a "modern" but outdated annex and the rooms are not what you would expect in a four star hotel. Very cramped bathroom. Very limited choices at breakfast, again in the annex that is lacking the atmosphere of the main building. Instant orange juice from a machine. We were expecting a different experience from the impression on Booking.
