Pros +
- Excellent dinner and good breakfast, wonderful staff
- Staff were lovely, the size of our bedroom was great.
- Hotel is located in small village within a beautiful environment, and because of that is mainly used as basecamp for elderly-bicyclists. Great to experience the 'achterhoekse gezelligheid'.
Cons -
- There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in our room.
- Expect outdated but old fashioned/cozy rooms; but not actually something to dislike. Very soft mattresses. Hotel is silent from of 22:00 hours or so (but let this be a positive thing if you're into it).

Lovely food and all staff exceptionally friendly. Peaceful location and gardens.
Nothing!
The staff were super friendly and made us very welcome. The room was comfortable if a little small. We needed a larger bathroom due to a physical impairment and the hotel were more than happy to set us a room which had what we needed.
The rooms as quite basic and felt a little dated. A double bed rather than two singles pushed together would have been nice. The ground floor room's window was very large and looked out onto a public area which made us feel a little exposed as people walked passed unless we kept the main curtains closed. Restaurant was very expensive but food was good.
a fine local hotel in a typical small Dutch village, I was visiting a friend in the region
nothing to dislike, but checkout time is early compared to city hotels
This is a old style hotel. It needs refurbishment in order to bring it up to modern standards but is also not really a disappointment. It just is.
The atmosphere was a little run down. The furniture seemed to be IKEA standard cupboards.
This is a great hotel, we have stayed here three times now on various cycle tours. We wanted to make an early start because of the very hot weather, the hotel kindly arranged for us to have an early breakfast. Secure cycle storage.
Room very clean. Bathroom spacious enough with plenty room to put your belongings.Breakfast buffet with enough choices. Buffet had no scrambled eggs.Free parking.Very friendly staff.

Restaurant was excellent for dinner. Breakfast was not as extensive as we had thought. Only boiled eggs were warm.
Spacious room, good food, cosy atmosphere, memorabilia of the poet Staring, located in a gorgeous landscape
The food at the restaurant was great! The rooms were comfortable, the bed was also good. Tea/coffee in the room is a great plus! Very friendly staff!
I ordered a room with twin beds, but got a double bed with a single cover. Also the room could have been bigger (was listed as comfort, not standard) and the window in the bathroom could not be opened.
rural location, friendly staff
restaurant closed, heating would not work in the room, shower drain blocked and overflowed, first room we were shown to was like a prison cell then charged €25 to change to something half decent .
excellent breakfast.very convenient location
Friendly staff. Good food.
Quiet and cosey, good breakfast
