- Nice clean quiet accomodation......Great meal nearby in their neighbours hotel. And safe garage for our cycles, very nice staff.
- The Hotel made a good impression from the outside and the room was adequate. Clean and spacious. The location is ideal if you are on a stop over as it is very close to the motor way.
Cons -
- Unfortunately, the Hotel, even though calling itself a Landgasthaus, which in its own right means they are offering food and drink, and the big sign 'Hotel Restaurant' lets you believe that much, you will not get any food or drinks apart from breakfast in the Hotel, meaning you should either have your lunch and dinner elsewhere. So, not ideal if you've been travelling all day and now looking for a relaxed dinner at the place you are staying. My mistake as I should have checked out their website. The lady at the reception pointed me to a restaurant in town. I didn't take her suggestion and had packed snacks from the car in my room as I was too tired to wander around in an unfamiliar place. The breakfast was adequate, but I was quite surprised that the hotel staff, a middle-aged man, was running around in baggy combat shorts and a loose T-Shirt and dark trainers. What happened to Hotel Uniform or at least smart casual wear when working in a hotel and serving customers? At the checkout I met the lady from the evening again, who just took the room keys of me without asking if I had a nice stay or if everything was to my satisfaction. Seems all very transactional to me. No smile and no 'Have a good day or onward journey'. I'm frequently staying over for one night in this region of Germany and have stayed in various hotels there. It's good to try out different hotels and places. I'm really sorry that the Landgasthaus Hotel Eggert did not live up to my expectations.
- pillows - German hotels do not really have comfortable pillows overall.
- I specifically booked a room with two single beds but the bed was double. Breakfast could be better at this hotel. It's a little basic and some items in the buffet were already depleted by 07:30 am. There is an additional charge if you are traveling with pets.

beautiful clean room - excellent facilities for disabled. Comfortable bed. We have used this hotel twice before. Good breakfast included and hotel in a quiet area about 10 miles from motorway
pillows - German hotels do not really have comfortable pillows overall.
The rooms are comfortable, modern, well equipped, and well insulated with recently renovated bathrooms. The location is a charming small town just outside of Rheine with period buildings in the surrounding area.

Warm and friendly service, room and fixtures where of a very high standard, very comfortable and clean. Out in the countryside very peaceful and very much worth the extra mileage, lovely peaceful hamlet. Will be definitely returning.
Couldn't be better.
Breakfast buffet is limited in choice but good for the price. Room (in separate building) was spacious, clean, good storage. Parking was on a nearby square (free).
Pleasant
There is information on the booking that the stay ends at 12.00 in practice at 10.30 they enter the room without knocking.
This is beatiful country-house hotel in german village Schwanenburg, only 3 clicks from Dutch borders.Due the lockdown /coronavirus in Germany , the entire hotel was completely empty( no stuff and guests). Backyards door were opened especially for me, inside the premises I have found the key to my room. Room and premises very clean- it's normaly german standard. I slept like a baby :) and I was fresh and happy on the next day. Thank you very much to business owners , Eggert family.
